Likely Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry claimed Tuesday night that he's a big fan of rap and hip-hop music.
The straight-laced Beacon Hill blue-blood who married into the $700 million Heinz ketchup fortune told MTV, "I'm fascinated by rap and by hip-hop. I think that there's a lot of poetry in it. There's a lot of anger - a lot of social energy in it."
Kerry said America's leaders disregard rap music at their peril, telling MTV, "I think you better listen to it pretty carefully because it's important."
Asked about some of the more outrageous lyrics in today's rap songs, Kerry replied, "Do I think some lyrics in some songs have stepped over what I consider to be a reasonable line? Yeah, I do."
He then explained, "I think when you start, you know, talking about killing cops or something like that, it bothers me."
Still, Kerry defended the gangsta rap genre, telling MTV, "I'm still listening because I know that it's a reflection of the street and it's a reflection of life. And I understand all that."

If John F-Bomb Kerry wins this election do you think MTV will do a "Cribs" report on the White House?

"It is a veritable modern antropological study, isn't it John? It probably deserves government funding to make sure it is all preserved, isn't it John? " The way some of my fellow FReepers get right to the heart of matters like this is just amazing to me. I've been FReeping for about 3 years now and I still have to connect the dots. Public skoolin' I guess. Nice post Torie!

I'm fascinated too. How did "S%it M#ther F*cker, S&ck My D%ck
B@tch" ever become the lyrics to a love song?

What strikes me about this statement, above the hypocrisy of it all, is the word "bother". Didn't he use that in describing the movie the "Passion of the Christ". He must pull out that word when he feels especially wishy/washy.That's because Tom Daschle's already got dibs on "disappointed".

Remember that time when Gore told Courtney Love he was a big fan of her music and she said something like "sure, name one song"...and he couldn't.
"That was awesome." (Chris Farley voice)

Ooops, I've posted way behind you on this! That was so funny with Courtney & Al Gore...she's pretty messed up but it didn't take much to see through Al Gore then and it doesn't take much to see through Scary Kerry now! Who would have thought...John F'n Kerry and Ter-RAY-sa: closet rappers!

Well thank you. I have not taken the time to read through the 200+ posts but I accept your comment that it was "da best".
I shall soon endure my own self administered torture of watching a supressed antiAmerican military documentary starring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland to see if I can spot John FTA Kerry at any of the rallies.

I don't know but "He's hacking and whacking and smacking, he's hacking and whacking and smacking, he's choping up all the women's meat!" goes back to the early 1950s (Butcher Pete - Roy "Good Rockin' Tonight" Brown).

Yea and like the original Vanilla Ice, Dustbuster K doesn't have an original idea he simply parrots others. He is a boob and a simpleton. He is also so out of place when he goes to a black churches to pander for votes. This guy is so pathetic he has to manufacture an image.
