In 7:25 break, anchor reported "Terri Schiavo was rushed to a Pinellas County emergency room last night after nursing home staff noticed puncture wounds on her arm. The wounds appeared to be caused by a hypodermic needle! Toxicology tests were conducted but the results are not available yet!"

This could open a huge new round in this case. What did tests reveal? Who was last person in room? When was husband there? Was staffer trying the Angle of Death routine?

This will be developing hard all day!

The thing that bothered me when I read this was that she had been moved from her regular nursing home and so therefore is now in a place where perhaps the husband could "plant" an ally and making it easier to "get rid of her"...

From what we know the Schindler's are not allowed to visit privately, only Michael is allowed to visit behind closed doors and without anyone present and this has been his pattern before. oOne of the nurses who testified in easrlier court cases said she believed he had injected Terri before, but Judge Greer didn't care.

Can Michael or a surrogate be placed at the nursing home from the time the Schindlers left and the discovery of the stick marks and needle cap were found? The story doesn't say either way.

"Workers" can also be motivated by just their only personal beliefs on the issue also - if they are into mercy killings or euthanasia, a lot of them feel WELL within their rights to take "matters" into their own hands, little Kervorkians doing god's work, they believe. And if they have strong beliefs in this regard perhaps just a lot of sermonizing and preaching their religion of death to whoever will listen, they really don't believe God has any problem with suicide when life gets difficult, and d*** you if you tell them other wise.

How about a guy who never attended law school, keeps filing law suits to "help" her, wants himself declared her guardian (over her parents, etc.) so he can take her case to the UN, whose only legal victory was when the State released him from his Baker Act commitment after the meds kicked in....

One would think in this day and time of fast suing over everything and with such a high profile case, the nursing home attorney's would have already installed cameras to protect, if not Terri, but the nursing home.

Velveeta is correct, the color codes vary by manufacturer. For example, one manufacturer uses purple for 24G (medium size) needle. Another uses purple for 30G (ultra thin) needle.

Since I have been wearing braces, I broke the habit of removing needle cap with my teeth. Old habits die hard, however.

Monday's incident adds another wrinkle in the legal saga. Schiavo's husband issued orders denying visits by anyone until the police investigation is complete.

Why aren't the police denying access to Terri by the husband until this is investigated? He should not be the one deciding who can visit in this case.

What is the number for the police in this jurisdiction?

We need to call and demand that Michael is not allowed into Terri's room or any of his attorneys. They are the ones who want her dead, not the Schindler's

This is now a CRAWLER on Fox News Channel. No doubt one of Terri's volunteers contacted them directly. A Terri supporter from Tampa hounded Fox daily to fix the crawler from the incorrect "brain dead" to "brain damaged". If they slipped back into the incorrect terminology, she'd call them back.

I've met Terri's real doctors who aren't allowed to treat her. They have MD's after their name, a neurologist and an internist. You must have read a post by a kill Terri re: her physicians.

Dr. Jay Carpenter is a REAL DOCTOR and so is Dr. Wm Hammesfahr but they can't see Terri.
