Conservatives, plug your ears: Liberal talk radio is finally here.

Al Franken and a host of garrulous progressives ease onto the airwaves tomorrow morning on America Left, broadcasting live from 6 a.m. to midnight on weekdays via XM Satellite Radio and three AM radio stations

Hasn't anybody noticed the irony of the name here? Air America! This is too much! A liberal radio network (makes about as much sense as healthy fast food), names itself after the airline cover name used in Vietnam for the CIA.
One more thing, I thought there already was a liberal radio network- NPR?
I guess it wouldn't be as big a deal if Al replaced Terry Gross on Freshair! for the rest of the campaign season.
I predict this network will go the way of NSync....(it's about as talented).

Three hours of daily hate-America speech. This is just another way for the DNC to get around campaign finance laws.

Yep. George Soros is going to run a LOT of Progressive commercials. He did say he would give his entire fortune to defeat Bush, right?

Al Franken is the Andy Kaufman of politics.

Except that Andy Kaufman was occasionally funny.

"Mr. Franken will debut at noon with "The O'Franken Factor"

Gee, how creative. They are already running on empty.

A couple of months ago, Al Franken and Eric Alterman teamed up against Laura Ingraham and Carlson (forgot his first name). It was an hour-long program shown on C-SPAN. Before the program was over I believe even Alterman was embarrassed for Franken.

"Carlson (forgot his first name)"

It's Tucker, his mother is not just a RINO, but a flaming liberal that hates paying taxes. I wish I could have seen that one. The good news is that once people get to hear these wackos, they will laugh them off.

Carlson (forgot his first name)

BTW, he's the son of former Minnesota Governor Arnie Carlson (or step-son at least, not sure)

Tucker! That's it.

Franken was also on The Daily Show last week. Awful guest. Stewart was trying to liven things up with him but Franken only could come up with "hate Bush" lines. Comedy brought Chevy Chase to the dance and he bombed miserably on late nite TV. Franken is following in Chase's footsteps. Too bad for him he didn't learn from other's mistakes.

Best to just ignore them all-together. I can't even stand the thought of them getting the rubber-necking treatment for even the first few days on-air.

Well, if it came down to a choice for me between root canal or listening to Franken.....root canal would win every time.

The best part is, who is actually going to pay to listen to him? And what advertisers would do the same?

BTW, what's the name of the network that will syndicate his show? THUD?

Mr. Franken will debut at noon with "The O'Franken Factor," a three-hour daily show airing opposite conservative host Rush Limbaugh, who has 20 million listeners. Mr. Franken once wrote a book titled "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" and has named his show as a parody of "The O'Reilly Factor," hosted by Bill O'Reilly of Fox News.

Oh, isn't that cute, clever and creative?

NOT.

The liberals try to be so sharp and they just come off looking like a bunch of children.

My apologies to all the real children. Good luck going head to head against Limbaugh, Franken. May you sink like a lead balloon.

I sense a train wreck coming. Or, it will be like steam engine running out of steam.

Someone should check to see if there has been any kind of spike in sales of XM Radio equipment, in the run-up to the debut of his show, at place like Best Buy.

No way we would ever listen to 'liberal' talk radio. We mute all the libs on the TV news, including Alan 'what's his name' on FOX.

Seems to me that Franken is, or soon will be, under the gun. Of course he’ll talk nice to Liberals, and they’ll talk nice to him. If that’s all there is, he won’t last a month.

To be successful, Franken will have to learn talk to, and discuss issues thoughtfully with Conservatives. But “thought” is an alien concept for Liberals who “feel” their way through issues. So Franken will have a hard row to hoe.

Then again, this isn't really a radio network, it's just an end-run around the campaign finance laws.

Gee, you could be right: an expensive, around-the-clock political ad for Kerry. In that case, it will be well funded until November and fail shortly thereafter – no matter who wins the election.

"Air America" sounds like a cut rate airline.

Hot Air, America would be more appropriate, and also serve as a warning.
