Well, I'll have to agree with her on one point:

I don't like concealed carry.
I'd much prefer open carry.
I've never understood that convoluted logic.

I always hand my CCP to a cop that stops me.
I've only had one that acted nervous, and I think he was about twelve.

Cops know when you have a CCP that you've had some pretty intensive background checks.
That in itself should give them some comfort.

CHL isn't a problem for me except I consider it to be just a seditious source for revenue by our goobermint to rent back to me my RKBA's !

I've been stopped twice for a seat belt and a inspection sticker, DPS and a local yocal. All were professional and polite and just asked where my firearm was and please not remove it during the traffic stop.

But then as a former deputy I always roll down my windows on the drivers side of the vehicle and turn on all the dome lights and keep my hands at 2 and 10 on the wheel with my DL/CHL and insurance slip ready on the dash . It's just a polite thing to do for those who endanger themselves in such a profession. Keeps me safer too for those twelve year old barney bad ass sorts...........:o)

Stay safe !

I understand your feelings, but there are cases of individuals being ambushed who open carry.

One of the cool things about open carry is that the bad guy never knows who's got the piece. Thus, the gentler ones in society garner some benefit.
