FR DNS problems...

DNS lookups failing for FR here - no such host. Apparently I'm not the only one, judging from a glance at the Yahoo FR board. Dunno if it's my ISP (Verizon) or what, but I had to manually edit the hosts file to get here. Presumably, if you can post, you're not having this problem, but there are more than a few people who can't post right now because of it...

i heard that one of the WHOIS phone numbers listed for FR was invalid. so someone complained to ICANN and that got the domain, but not the IP pulled
anybody who can confirm this? Sir Ed just got an email from GKG to that effect, over here
Something about ICANN and an anti-spam policy, which I do not understand.

Something is amiss, still. I have bought domains and slapped up a welcome page with DNS propagation in 2-3 hours. It has been about 12 hours in Detroit, still not up.
BTW, I snagged www.ketchupboy.com anyone want it?

Thanks for that link. That is incredible. What the heck do they mean Spam? They know darn good and well what this website is and does. I don't believe this explanation which btw was quite arrogant at that for a so called business person. Arrogance seems to be a trait of a certain political slant.

i heard that one of the WHOIS phone numbers listed for FR was invalid. so someone complained to ICANN and that got the domain, but not the IP pulled anybody who can confirm this? I can confirm that Jim had...how can I put this delicately...a "fictitious" phone number in the "Registrant" part of the record, (the technical, billing & administrative phone numbers were "real" numbers, the same one). The phone # he had in "Registrant" was "555-555-5555".
I cannot confirm that some leftist "hater" complained to ICANN about a "false record" or a wrong record or whatever he complained about.
When I did the "WHOIS" this morning, besides the # being 555-555-5555, the domain was marked as "inactive"(not good).

"But they also had posted the addy to get in. I am in hysterics thinking about it, but damn, they sent me to the right place!!" That happened to them back after the 2002 election. For awhile they said that only paying DUhmmies could get access, but FReepers found a back door and their members were linking through us.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your profile. Its really good.
When someone used info from mine to attack me over a disagreement I deleted every word to deprive the next devious snooper of that gift.
But after reading yours Im motivated to recreate it. Anyway, thanks for the great read.

Back home in the Queendom, TLBS issues press release after press release assaulting the good citizens of FReemont. Each and every time a good citizen of Freemont responds to his devious and vicious attacks he takes it as a reason to continue.
The mental disorder known as Latent Puerility has spread like a wildfire. Possibly through sexual contact, or even through spittle which they drench each other in as they shout at the folks in Freemont.
The good citizens of Freemont cannot hear them, unless its a windless day and they happen to be standing near the far southern shores. Then its almost like a whisper, but it can make them angry, as is its intent.
Maybe it is better to ignore those who squat at Leper Point and berate the distant shore? But once in a while it feels good to berate them back. Just be careful to wear a paper mask so you won't get the Latent Puerility.
Once a year or so is enough. And it will give those who suffer from the horrid disease a reason to live. To live in their Land of Plague far, far away from the good citizens of Freemont.

Arrrrrrrrrrrggggh! This is the first time I've been able to get in alll day, and even then I had to do it by clicking on a thread link that showed up way down the list on a Google search. At first, I thought the site might be down. But since I'd just installed some new anti-virus software, I thought it might be some unintended effect of the software. Then I didn't know what to think. I'm on AOL.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
