FR DNS problems...
today

DNS lookups failing for FR here - no such host. Apparently I'm not the only one, judging from a glance at the Yahoo FR board. Dunno if it's my ISP (Verizon) or what, but I had to manually edit the hosts file to get here. Presumably, if you can post, you're not having this problem, but there are more than a few people who can't post right now because of it...

The other night I was the next-to-the-last poster on a reminiscences thread and it seemed like everyone went to bed right then. I felt I should check my deodorant or something. I ain't saying nuthin' so you guys won't all disappear (like most of today).

Sorry. I'm too young to remember Jimmy Carter... first American president I recall with any clarity is the great Ronald Reagan. (I'm 31 years old, BTW)

When I couldn't get in at FR, I decided to see what the LPer's were saying about it. Those wannabe's are so happy, and they conveniently mention that the freerepublic.info URL was working. Don't they have anything better to do??
Someone mentioned Free Dominion, whats that?? Is it like FreedomUnderground, where 6 people also sit around all day and complain about FR?? Probably not, a half dozen people don't need that many websites.

I was going to get back to that thread today.. but, sigh.. you know. As a new FReeper then it was a good way for me to break into all... learn HTML (the little I know) and learn more about politics & war. People there at those threads were so much fun & so smart & so willing to share.
very fond memories for me... and of course BELLY GIRL.. what a hoot

Free dominion is the Canadian equivalent (more or less) to Free Republic. I have made some nice cyber friends via that forum... I find it hard to navigate in the forum howevre (as I find Yahoo hard also..).. Okay, I am cyber-challenged!

Good to hear it. I guess the LPers and FUers are the only sites that wish they were like FR. I counted a handful of posters at LP and about 5 at the other site. They are not worth the time.

I am using dialup in Missouri and can't open my FR homepage. I was lucky enough to have a friend send me another link and so here I am. What is the current problem?

LOLOL Dimensional doors are stretchy and resume their shape. Besides, we love you, no matter
what shape you are;) (Well...as long as you don't resemble bill or hillary :)
