When asked about the CIA 'blocking' the arming of the Predator, Tenet says it wasn't at the top. My guess it was in the legal dept. since it would cross into 'military' action.
First disrupter! (Couldn't make anything out)

This is beginning to sound like an expose of the in fighting turf war of government hacks.

It does from the POV that O'Reilly could have questioned her on that aspect but did not. His "toughness" is waning.
What Albright said, though, is consistent with everyone else. But, that doesn't seem to stop them from saying repeatedly, "Bush lied."

I haven't seen anybody on THIS committee that I think has the balls and/or nerve to bust his chops.
IMO, Clarke just may implode on his own; he's VERY intense and VERY angry because his word is being questioned; with a little luck, we'll get to see some of that this very day.

Thompson did read from the book, but I've been wondering when I would finally see an "R" after someone's name....

Here is the problem. Richard Clarke covered his butt. Some of his allegations are really unprovable. The others he has witnesses.
But witnesses can only tell you so much. For example, on Sept 12, Clarke claims the president told him to look at links to Iraq. He said that it now appears, in front of witnesses. However, there is nothing to say that President Bush didn't pigeonhole Clarke and say "look at everything, including Iraq". Clarke's book can be both "true" and "false" in that it is misleading. If you have 10 hours of conversation, and you state one snippet, one rant, "off the cuff", it is "true" but not really true.
Clarke has put the W.H. in a bad spot. The only way they can effectively refute him, is to reveal classified info, executive conversations, etc.

Replacing Tenet wouldn't have stopped 9/11.Maybe, maybe not. But I'm not sure why Bush kept a partisan hack in charge of a dysfunctional agency, other than Poppy's alleged say-so.

They should remove those family members and make them watch this thing on TV like the rest of us.

Maybe I'm not listening close enough, but my perception is that the Dems spew on and on and on and finally get to a question. The Pubs ask one or two short answer and relinquish the remainder of their time.

Am I the only one here that's seeing today's session (so far) as utter and total democrap bull$hit? "Has anyone in the CIA read the book?" WTF!

Oh good, someone is removed from the audience. Personally, I would like ALL of the audience removed.I, for one, think the whole *panel* should be removed from the room!

...these sh*t-for-Senators will take this "game" a bit more seriously. It is just a game to them. This is the Capitol Hill version of "Family Feud" and the "Survey Says!" answers have all been obtained from quotes in Dick Clarke's book. Why even hold these hearings? Just give those "pitiful" 9/11 families autographed copies of his book since it has all the answers.

Just remember that whoever gets angry first, loses.
Clarke is going to implicate himself, nobody needs to yell at him or be rude with him. Think of razor-blades instead of hammers. Also, remember the goal here is a tie.
A tie is a victory with this crowd.
