He's sliming out of it. He can't get out of it. Sliming? Yep. But it isn't going to work as well as he and the DNC planned.
To: freedom1st
He is VERY defensive.

Clarke swears under oath he will not accept a position under Kerry.
Um, did you anticipate a job offer? (my question)

"As to your accusation that there is a difference (between commission testimony and book)...there is a very good reason for that...no one asked me what I thought about the President's invasion of Iraq...at the commission...by invading Iraq the President has greatly undermined the war on terrorism."
WHY IS SHEP INTERRUPTING HIM??

Clarke's book and this testimony can easily be refuted by his own admissions in 2002. Talk about flip-flops, we're witness to it today.

Response, I'm not on the Kerry team. I've worked for Reagan and Bush 1, and GWB.
Says he co-teaches a class with Randy Beers who works for Kerry. Worked together for 25 years and Beers worked for Bush 1 & 2 and Reagan. Says he won't disassociate himself from a "best friend" because he works for Kerry campaing.
Says the WH said the book is an audition for high level position in Kerry cabinet and Clarke says under oath he won't accept one.
Now he says that in 15 hours of previous testimony nobody asked him what he thought about the invasion of Iraq. He thinks Iraq greatly undermined the WOT
Fox cuts away. Back now, Guess that was the full answer the Lehman.

clarke says, "I don't work for John Kerry." (Under his breath, he says "now".) Is the "now" the end of that sentence, or the beginning of a new statement?
The transcript will have to clear up my question.

But, but just because Randy works for Kerry and is his best friend, that doesn't mean he too works for Kerry. Under oath he is saying he will never accept a position in the Kerry Admin. Now he claims he's holding back his criticism on invading Iraq but goes on to explain the damage it's done. The chip is growing larger on his shoulders.

The French connection..... ok Iraq ticked him off, wonder what he knows about the UN OIL FOR FOOD program.
