I was wrong, Gov Thompson is questioning him right now on this.

Let me see if I have this right: Clarke said that things sat on the table between 1998-2000 without action during the Clinton administration, yet Clarke is having a problem with the fact that the Bush Administration, who although was moving forward on the things that had been sitting on the Clinton table, didn't move as fast as he thought they should.

This guy is going to need a straight jacket before this day is over!I sure he's glad he has aaaalllllll that time. ;-)

IMHO he escapes UNSCATHED, he is winning, we are losing and the SPIN wins again. The MEDIA will discount his Aug 2002 statement as a BUSH mandate, we lost this round folks!

Clarke complaining about the "many, many months" it took...but it was established at the very beginning of this that these rec's had been sitting around for TWO YEARS under Clinturd!

His lips are moving, the words sound like English, but they are unitelligible.

What a liar he is. He is piddling with semantics and avoid truth. Gawd, I hope Thompson doesn't let up.

The Commission has NO INTEREST in causality.
FLASHBACK:
"Mr. Clarke, Mr. Clarke, please this is urgent.
We can take out Osama, now. Please answer now!!! We have him in our sights."
Clarke: "Nope. Forgetaboutit. No big deal.
They promise to only attack our computers.
Beside, I will blame it on Pres. Bush 4 years from now. "

Now he's defending Abu Nidal because he didn't threaten the United States?
I, I, I, I, I
Clarke: I tried to convince the Bush administration we should eliminate Al Qaeda but they didn't take me up on it until after 9/11.
NOW THAT'S A FLAT OUT LIE. FLAT OUT LIE. It's been well established that the president wanted to take out AQ, not just swat flies.

FREE ride for Clinton....we got the he!! bombed out us 12 times under him, but that's ok, Bush was in office less than 8 months, and he didn't do anything...make sense
To: BureaucratusMaximus
A vote for gridlock is looking like the only viable option right about now. BULLS**T
Utter and complete BS.
If I lose, I will lose with my head held high voting FOR my principles, instead of AGAINST something.
