Here's the quote from Angle. Perjury
And the third point is the Bush administration decided then, you know, mid-January, to do two things. One, vigorously pursue the existing policy, including all of the lethal covert action findings, which we've now made public to some extent. And the point is, while this big review was going on, there were still in effect, the lethal findings were still in effect. The second thing the administration decided to do is to initiate a process to look at those issues which had been on the table for a couple of years and get them decided.

This is so gross, why are the Sudan and pre 1998 events off
the table? This Is like the Warren Commission. The Left's partisanship will ensure that this commission's report will have no credibility with the people.
To: Steven W.
I'd prefer to focus on his demonstrably contradicting statements and not engage in rank speculation of that nature.

So he can refer to Woodward's book to testify to GWB's state of mind, but he's to disregard, per Roemer's instruction, the inconvenient surfacing of his own voice on tape talking to reporters.

Complaining they didn't have principles meetings but only deputy meetings. Took the issue of AQ as a cluster of policy matters and launched on a series of deputy meetings which ended in July 2001 so they were ready for a principles meeting in July bu thte principle's calendar was full and they were going on vacation so we met in August.

This Clarke testimony deserves its own thread, IMO.
To: BigSkyFreeper; Peach
Did y'all catch Roemer saying "we only want to look at the time between '98 and 9-11"
To: hobbes1
Again, we see that he is arrogant and thought HE should be directing the NSC.
To: Bahbah
Says Bush admin didn't consider terrorism urgent although he, Clarke, tried hard to push the issue. I guess he hasn't heard of the tape that was found on him huh?

So by Day Four of the Bush administration, Clarke was NOT IN THE LOOP.......and he obviously didn't like it.
REMEMBER PEOPLE: This man's "opinions" are colored by the fact that he wasn't where HE thought he should be.

Exactly, it is the Deputies that do the heavy lifting and grunt work. The Principals don't have the time to get down into the weeds. They also don't implement policy, the deputies do.

Jerk just talked about how "the principals" took vacation in August. As if ANYONE stays in DC during August.
