Marjie Lundstrom: Possible hate-crime hoax detracts from real victims By Marjie Lundstrom -- Bee Columnist Some hoaxes we never forget. It has been 13 years since I dashed off to Davis to cover a woman's shocking story of gang rape by a marauding band of skateboarding teens.

Finally got off my lazy butt and looked her up in
Martindale --
Kerri F. Dunn 1964 Westwood Boulevard
Los Angeles, California
(Los Angeles Co.) Born 1964; Admitted 1999, (Admitted in Louisiana; Not admitted in California); University of Nebraska at Lincoln, J.D.
So she's licensed to practice in Louisiana. Strange...
To: CounterCounterCulture
Yeah, but can you really claim that as a bogus hate crime perpetrated by a conservative--if the purpose was to denigrate the right--make that the facist-right as most leftists would say.
It really sounds like a bogus hate crime that a leftist would fake. I don't remember Downey's politics too much, but why would it be believeable that a right-wing group would attack him?
Great "get" though

I just saw this at a
blog I sometimes read. It's posted by Ernesto Cienfuegos of Voz de Aztlan, so take it for what it's worth.
...Now, it appears that Professor Dunn has a significant "rap sheet" for prior crimes. While living in Lincoln, Nebraska, the professor accumulated arrests for shoplifting, possessing stolen property, refusing to comply with a police officer's orders, driving on a suspended license, failing to appear in court and other crimes.
Hmmmmm. Looks like she
may have priors afterall. Too bad Mr. Cienfuegos did not post more about the source of his information and how old these offenses are. A petty criminal and scofflaw with a license to practice law (in Louisiana).
Curiouser and curiouser...

Interesting that the $1700 worth of property "turned up". How does the CD player from your car go missing, then later, "turn up". If it isn't in the dashboard, it probably isn't in your pants pocket or in the hall closet.
More likely she consulted an attorney, who told her that filing a false police report was one thing, but trying to defraud your insurance company of $1700 was another matter altogether. Any attorney worth his salt will tell his client to minimize her exposure at this point by giving up on the attempt to cash in on the insurance.
The fact that the insurance claim is beind dropped proves to me even more than the witness testimony that this case is fabricated.

(John F'n Kerry is nothing but Teddy Kennedy without a dead girl in the car.)
Oops, according to
Steve Sailer, it looks like Dunn may have at least two criminal offenses that she "recently" committed in Lincoln, Nebraska.
I'm beginning to suspect why she relocated to California.
To: bondjamesbond
At trial, prosecution will most likely put the insurance company representative on the stand to establish chronology. When did Dunn first contact her carrier concerning the vandalism and/or theft? Did she make a claim for compensation? When? Did she subsequently retract that claim? When?

No kidding...considering a newspaper article (yesterday) showed her
entering her home in Redlands...
and to have a Martindale listing MILES away (and just south of UCLA,
I might add.)

Yeah, trying to defraud the insurance company was not a really bright idea. But it doesn't seem like this woman is bangin' on all eight cylinders on her best day...

Yeah, she's a real piece of work all right.
It seems like a psychopath may be teaching psychology here in Claremont.

Legal directories do not list lawyers' home addresses. They list thier last known business addresses. In Dunn's case, that would be...
Trial Behavior Consulting
1964 Westwood Boulevard
Note that it's the same address as in post 41. This is where she worked before going on faculty at the school.
To: bondjamesbond
If she has anything like the rap sheet Cienfuegos says she has, she's a repeat offending petty criminal. It wouldn't surprise me that she'd escalate from shoflifting and possession of stolen property to insurance fraud, just as it wouldn't surprise me that she'd graduate from failure to obey a police officer and contempt of court to lying to police and federal agents.

"I cringe when this stuff happens," said Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino. "... In the broad universe of these crimes, far more go unreported than falsely reported." Um, how can he state this for a fact, when the unreported hate crimes are, well, UNREPORTED!
To: Bullish
How do we know that this Dunn woman isn't responsible for the other incidents that have occurred at the Claremont colleges lately? I think she IS more than likely the culprit who has been playing both sides. Racist, and victim of racism. She's not necessarily behind those other two incidents, but those incidents may not really be "hate crimes," either. The cross being stolen sounds like a fraternity-type prank. As for the racial slur being written on the George Washington Carver picture, who's to say it's a white person who did it, when many blacks have disdain for Carver as an Uncle Tom!
To: NYCVirago
"...sounds like a fraternity-type prank."It was. The boys responsible owned up.
I don't know whether the GW Carver incident was resolved.
To: Bullish
At a school like that, there might be any number of psychos teaching.
To: Bonaparte
It seems to be prevalent throughout left wing academia.

...and its administration. Gann is another piece of work. I read a letter today from a CMC alumnus who is now a professor of politics at a Texas university. He was calling for her to apologize and resign immediately.

But it doesn't seem like this woman is bangin' on all eight cylinders on her best day... As far as I know, they didn't make an eight cylinder Trabant

"This is classic revolutionary hatred think Bolsheviks, Nazis, Khmer Rouge, Robert Mugabe when stories such as these appear. From Dunn straight to violence with scarcely a stopover thru "non-violence." One day one of these stunts will produce a pogrom and some hapless white person will take the brunt of their hate. And then the left will instead of making apologies will make justifications instead."
What you describe has already happened. Well at least kind of. Wasn't a few white people killed at the hands of some angry thugs who just watched the movie "A Time To Kill". The left-wing propaganda machine and the people at its controls are truly evil and dangerous.
