She's not necessarily behind those other two incidents, but those incidents may not really be "hate crimes," either. The cross being stolen sounds like a fraternity-type prank. As for the racial slur being written on the George Washington Carver picture, who's to say it's a white person who did it, when many blacks have disdain for Carver as an Uncle Tom!

I don't know whether the GW Carver incident was resolved.
The cross being stolen and burned on a campus field was a protest against Mel Gibsons' "Passion" movie.
The students later said they didn't realize it was insensitive to blacks.
Gee, you're in college and you don't know that cross burning is a big no-no?
