Marjie Lundstrom: Possible hate-crime hoax detracts from real victims By Marjie Lundstrom -- Bee Columnist Some hoaxes we never forget. It has been 13 years since I dashed off to Davis to cover a woman's shocking story of gang rape by a marauding band of skateboarding teens.

Whatever the legal outcome, there is a powerful lesson in this.
Yes, the woman's a lying leftist. That's a powerful lesson.
To: churchillbuff
Doh... if there weren't such a lack of real victims, then there wouldn't be the fabrications in the first place!

What about the people blamed for the fake hate crimes?
To: churchillbuff
In the broad universe of these crimes, far more go unreported than falsely reported." Oh yeah? Prove it, dumba$$!

Baghdad Bob: "It was a great story. There were gangs raping women. It was taken for a fact and not for a moment did the press believe it might have been full of hot air. That woman did I, Bagdad Bob, can only envy. She had every one believing she was the victim of a monstrous crime. The lesson is if you're colorful in selling your yarn, people will believe almost anything. After all, I showed how easy its to fool the public with tall tales well told."

I'm seriously trying to recall any conservative (or even right wing extremists) who have been found out trying to pull off a phony stunt for their side.
Does anyone remember anything. The leftists get caught at it all the time.

If you haven't read the latest, you may be amused...
Excerpts from the LaLa Times...
On Wednesday, Dunn denied police claims and said she was "enraged" by their comments."This is like a very big deal if they think I'm a suspect," Dunn said in the doorway of her Redlands home. "I didn't want any of this from the beginning. This is so overshadowing the bigger problem on campus, which is that the administration has turned its head regularly on hate speech and hate crimes."
...But sources also said that while Dunn first had claimed $1,700 worth of property, including a CD player and a briefcase, was stolen from her 1992 Honda Civic, she later told investigators the items had turned up.
...Before heading to Claremont McKenna, Dunn worked for more than a year as a consultant in the Los Angeles office of Trial Behavior Consulting, which advises law firms and corporate clients. She specialized in jury research.
This is "like" a very funny lady. She "so" misunderestimated the police.
Interesting that while she has a law degree from the University of Nebraska, she has no license to practice. This is consistent with the practice of many American communists back in the early 20th century. They got law degrees but didn't bother taking the bar.

They really do have a lot in common with Baghdad Bob that they get surprised when they get caught in the web of their own lies.

"The leftists get caught at it all the time."She's calling the two witnesses liars. I'm just praying that one of the witnesses caught her on film and that the police are not revealing that fact, instead paying out lots of rope for her to hang herself with. Even they have no photographic evidence, I'll bet they've got a lot more than the witness affadavits.

The only person I can think of was Morton Downey Jr.
To: goldstategop
True, true. I wonder if the police have obtained the CD player and briefcase as evidence. I wonder if her prints are the only ones on them. I wonder how she's going to explain why thieves would take the trouble to steal a CD player and then not keep or sell it. In that article I linked, she's pointing the finger at one of her students or a friend of one of her students. Nice, huh?

And in New Jersey, two Sikh teenagers who wanted short hair, cut it, and told their parents that a gang had yanked off their turbans and cut their hair off, and naturally the parents called the police...
Credit to the Sikh families and temple, when the truth came out they were ashamed and apologetic, instead of going on about how this really illustrated some larger truth of racism, and the young men are facing up to the consequences of their lie.

"This is so overshadowing the bigger problem on campus, which is that the administration has turned its head regularly on hate speech and hate crimes."predictable barf

How do we know that this Dunn woman isn't responsible for the other incidents that have occurred at the Claremont colleges lately?
I think she IS more than likely the culprit who has been playing both sides. Racist, and victim of racism.
She's obviously a mentally deranged leftist, liberal. People like her need to get the hell off our college campuses and keep their filthy ideologies away from our kids.

God, what a memory! I remember there was some scandal about Downey--but wasn't it personal rather than with an ideologicial twist?
It's been so long ago I'm suffering from CRS syndrome.

The next day, all five of the Claremont Colleges canceled classes for teach-ins and rallies against hate crimes.
I'd sue these SOBs for theft and fraud. The students paid for specific classes. Cancelling these classes robbed them of the education they paid for. If I wanted to bang pots, wring my hands and attend Marxist indoctrination camps, I'd join the Rat party.

No kidding, this is utterly vile.
I'm glad to see this idiot is trying to blame the police and is not coming clean. She's almost sure to be prosecuted now by whipping up public opinion against herself.
