Brian Wood is indeed a hero, and I thank his family for their tremendous sacrifice.
I just found out that a former patient's dad is serving in Iraq. His wife visited the unit this evening and asked that prayers be sent for the safety of Brad Smalling, father of 2 young boys, one who is a miracle child.
He is a wonderful husband and father and I pray that he is able to come home to his family.

Tolik has posted a recent Victor David Hanson article which is fairly brief but is a good summary of where we stand in Iraq. It is a blistering commentary about the voices which are muttering and peeping and seeking to steal from our troops their victory. He points out that those voices are behaving in similar manner to those which stripped from us the victory we had won of the Tet Offensive in Viet Nam.
