Please add Maj Gen James Mattis to the prayer list. This isn't the first time he's reached out with strengthening words as his Marines headed into harm's way, and their families held vigil back home.

Thank you!

"Please add Maj Gen James Mattis to the prayer list."

Excellent suggestion, Rags.

Beloved Father in Heaven,

We place before you one of our military leaders. His name is Maj Gen James Mattis of the US Marine Corps. Father, this man has shown over many years great integrity and love toward this nation and the men and women he leads. We ask that you will grant him one of our prayer blankets which is woven from our prayers and charged with all the blessed qualities of protection, power, courage, love, wisdom, insight, hope, health, ministration, and mercy from your heart to be issued to him according to need of the hour. Enfold him with heavenly armor and a golden chain mail which is impervious to all harm and that which would seek to interfere with your divine Will for his life.

We are grateful for the staunch service of this man to the Holy Cause of Freedom. Grant him all the spiritual resources that he needs in order to fulfill the vows he has made to duty and honor. Grant him extraordinary intercession in the world and especially on the battlefield to lead his troops to Victory.

We pray for this man and all the ones who serve under him. We pray for his colleagues who serve beside him. We pray for each of these these who are dedicated to doing hard and difficult jobs in order to maintain the safety and freedom of this nation. In each generation we have witnessed your best servants standing tall and paying the price for freedom which as has been said, is not free. We are grateful, Father for raising up in this generation those who have the Vision and courage in their willingness to continue in that service.

Father, bless this General officer and guide him on a path lit by the lanterns of your angels.

amen
