If the UFO was not a shooting a star then it could have been one of seven out-of-commission spacecraft that still orbit Mars. Or it's a martian trying to find a parking spot...

Does Mars have enough of an atmosphere to create a "shooting star"? The idea of it being a sattelite doesn't seem possible due to how slow they move. Unless this was a "time lapse" (or whatever) photo - which could be if they're looking into the dark(?) sky.
