God forbid if there is an attack right before the election. But in the very unfortunate event that we have one, say in Sept. or Oct., the prefect tactic for Bush is to play as a president, and NOT as a political campaigner running for re-election.
Let's face it, most of us would remember the words, the emotion, the call from Bush when he stood on top of the heap of WTC ruins. That was a picture perfect moment for the president and it brought tears to my eyes. Should there be another attack, he should display the regular guy, the genuine guy image.
He should proclaim - "ok, there is an election coming, I know people are interested in what I will do for the campaigns, but you know what, I sworn in to protect this country. To me, the number one priority is to catch the bad guys, wherever they are, and I am not willing to kick this problem downstairs to another president. As for the election, I look forward to hear from what the American people have to say in the polls, and in the event that I am heading back to Texas, all I can say is thank you, thank you for the opportunity to serve you, especially in times of crisis..."
If Bush being Presidential, there is very little the other side can do. Do they bitch and complain or do they go along quietly. Think about the Missouri Senate campaign in Oct 2000. Ashcroft was frozen out of the race after the Carnahan plane crash. There is a lesson to be learn there..hope the WH take note on this potential situation.

The fact that the terrorists want President Bush out of office should be a wake up call for this nation. They want the appeasers like that lying Jf'n Kerry in office, a Socialist just as the new head of Spain is.

All non-Muslims are targets by the Militant Islamic terrorists, no matter where they are in the world. Al Queda, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Palestinian Authority, PLO, etc. all have this goal.

Stangely there is only one way to prevent this. It involves expelling a ceartin people from America. Unfortunately...It is not legal.

Everybody who reads this message. Take off election day. Plan to be at the polls all day and work to make sure that 9/11 is not forgotten:
When you vote, remember 9/11
And of course, get people to support Bush.
We cannot afford a 9/10 candidate in a post-9/11 and post-3/11 world.

Now, with the Socialists' surprise election victory in Spain, analysts believe the ballot box rebuke of one of President Bush's closest allies in the war in Iraq could embolden terrorists to try the same tactics in the United States to create fear and chaos.

"This is the first time that a terrorist act has influenced a democratic election. This is a gigantic, loud wakeup call. There's no one they'd like to have out of office more than George W. Bush." And if they do something similar in the U.S., it will mean a Bush landslide. They're not dealing with the Spaniards here.

could embolden terrorists to try the same tactics in the United States Not only terrorists, but domestic left wing wackos who want GWB out, could try to blow stuff up and then send a letter claiming it was al queda when it was really elf, sierra club member, deaniac, homeless advocate, peta, now sympathizer, abortion rights advocate, etc.

It's not the possibility of a another terrorist attack on the United States between now and Election Day that concerns me, it's the magnitude of those which will occur afterwards if Senator Kerry is elected.

In debates, it would be wise of both candidates to tell us what they will do if America is attacked again. Let's see if Mr. Kerry will duck under the table or high tail outta Iraq and Afghanistan. This administration has made it perfectly clear that they believe the threat of terrorism has not gone away, but their work is on minimizing the threat. Realistically, there are many, many, many ways for a terrorist group to inflict mass casualties without being detected.

When you think about it, it's to be expected. 9/11 was a primary election day. The USS Cole was an October surprise, the embassy bombings happened in August. There have been a few pre-election hits on us already.

Joe Biden laid it out perfectly this morning on Imus. He went on and on about how the democrats wanted to protect the rail industry and the administration wouldn't let the funding bill get to the floor. He laid out exactly how to blow up a train, where we are vulnerable, what precautions we have failed to take, etc...He was practically begging AQ to blow up a train so that the Dems could say-see we told you so-Bush should have done something. That is their plan-that is what they will do-and they will succeed.

Okay, so AQ decides to destroy a group of people.... Lets say they opt for mass casualities in a city by using Anthrax or a small nuclear device; or even a subway or metro train.... They will be killing, by and large those very folks who vote for democrats.
If America ever has a nuclear conflict, the democrats will lose cities and the republicans gain states in Presidential elections. Seems those who reside in the heartland and countryside vote republican while those who live in the squalor of their socialist cities vote democrat.
Flame me:) But demographics seem to indicate the democrats will be on the receiving end of any conflict in which mass casualities are the objective.
