You bring up something that I've been wantin to bring up myself, cept I already asked two favors already, lol.

I wish we could find a way to remove nasty posts without deleting them from the person's posting history. It allows them to spew their stuff, then it or the whole thread gets pulled (which itself is my answer to those who keep saying "ignore it"), and they are not held accountable.

e.g. Someone posts a blatantly racist remark, it gets pulled...
Then the next time the subject comes up and they chime in with something ambiguous, those who remember the racism treat them appropriately, yet the poster claims to have made an innocent observation.

Maybe when a person gets a post pulled for being nasty or racist, there could at least be a note on their history page that says they had a post pulled, and why.

At least leaving the placeholder "removed by moderator" posts viewable in their history would help people who argue that someone was banned 'unfairly'. If all the really bad bannable posts are gone, what is left always looks innocuous. "All he said was "good morning!"
