LONDON Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, al Qaeda's purported operations chief, has told U.S. interrogators that the group had been planning attacks on the Library Tower in Los Angeles and the Sears Tower in Chicago on the heels of the September 11, 2001, terror strikes.
Those plans were aborted mainly because of the decisive U.S. response to the New York and Washington attacks, which disrupted the terrorist organization's plans so thoroughly that it could not proceed, according to transcripts of his conversations with interrogators.

Hi DL!
I feel what is going to happen is us here or say Jill gets wind of something on the jihad boards and reports it of course to the alphabets. But they either ignore what we send or don't get it in time. And we on TM go to FNC etc and tell them but "We" knew and show as 'citizens' it could have been averted

Thanks then :)
I was wondering the same, if an attack on us is on the way since it appears an attack on London was coming.
With all the things going on in the last week, it appears an attack may already be underway.
There are bomb scares litterally everywhere. We had one here in Toledo last Friday, though it had a silver lining. The atheist scumbag nudow was supposed to speak to the Law School at UT, the bomb scare nixed it.
It's the death by 1000 cuts. If you have 15 or 20 bomb scares/ week for a while it will be draining to resources and people will begin to take them less seriously.
If they hadn't said they were going to announce it ahead of time so we could watch it on TV, I'd be inclined to think all these bomb scares are people just going looney, unrelated to each other. But with them happenning so suddenly and in such numbers, it appears something is up.

(March 30, 2004 -- 12:54 PM EDT // link // print)
What if Condi Rice, when she testifies, makes statements in flat contradiction of earlier statements by Richard Clarke? Nothing, it would seem, since the Commission appears to have agreed not to "request additional public testimony from any White House official, including Dr. Rice." That would seem to rule out testimony (at least public testimony) from various aides who might be in a position to say which of the two is being truthful, should such a contradiction arise.

Ex-official links LNG tankers, Al Qaeda
Clarke aide says Hub was entryway
By Charlie Savage, Globe Staff, 3/30/2004
WASHINGTON -- The nation's former deputy counterterrorism czar said yesterday that Al Qaeda operatives trained in Afghanistan came through Boston Harbor on liquid natural gas tankers from Algeria and that officials considered Boston a "logistical hub" for the terror network's activities in New England before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Roger Cressey, who was the top aide to former counterterrorism chief Richard A. Clarke, said "more than a dozen" stowaways with Al Qaeda ties had entered the United States in the late 1990s on tankers that made deliveries to the LNG terminal in Everett
