Dateline USA 2020:
Five US soldiers were killed today in a terrorist attack, bringing the total military deaths to 25,678 since our successful intervention in Iraq.
The Iraqi Grand Council has just approved the 23rd Democrtic Constitution of the Everlasting Free Iraq after the 22nd was blown to bits in a car bomb attack yesterday.
President Hillary Clinton praised our success and announced that she would run for her fifth term in November.
In other news, it was announced that oil production in Iraq will soon rise to 10 barrles per day putting a real damper on the price of gasoline in the US.
The latest Lunberg survey showed that gas in LA has actually declined by 9 cents to a recebt low of $13.89 per liter and is expected to delice even further giving a boost to the economy.
Housing and rental prices are also improving. Although it is not possible to report house prices because they are moving too quickly, it was reported that a studio rental apartment in LA went for less than $75,000 per month, a real steal.
On the real estate front, where price is really determined, Sotheby's has one listing up for acution of a prime location in S CA of a 1,200 sq ft home in Encino which needs some work but is expected to bring more that the recent price which was paid for the Mona Lisa; which sold for $576,000,000 to a real estate dealer in CA.

Perhaps another thread would be more suitable for a satire. AP mocks the death of our troops enough for a leftist's ~ safe at home ~ lifetime.
Our troops know why they're in Iraq, and the vast majority are proud of the amazing (mostly unreported) good work they've done over the past year.
