I returned yesterday to find a half-eaten and headless ruffed grouse on my second story deck.

My kids will never forget when a sparrow hawk ate a sparrow on our fence in the front yard. The wife about lost it, but my kids thought it was cool.

But...but...according to PeTA, animals are kind, and live together in harmony, while man is evil.

It is a sad, but uncontrovertible fact, big 'uns eat lil' uns. Then the worms get us all.

That's almost as funny as Rush Limbaugh's story about the rehabilitated sea otter that was immediately scarfed up by an orca when it was released.

Lately a Red Tail Hawk has taken to the local backyards as his hunting ground.

Doves, blackbirds, starlings, rabbits, snakes, nothing is safe around here. I love watching him. He (or she) seems to greatly enjoy perching on the neighbors hot tub cover.

It must be nice and warm. However, the neighbor lady is quite concerned about the stray cat she's been feeding. She doesn't want to fatten him up so he can become hawk chow.

"I returned yesterday to find a half-eaten and headless ruffed grouse on my second story deck."

I had a rabbits head fall from the sky while getting out of my car for work one day last year. I promptly made my way back in my car and called off work.

Aw, heck, if that sparrowhawk could taste spotted owl, he'd never eat robin again.

I peronally like spotted breasts barbecued on the grill and the snail-darter sauce served on the side.

ROTFL. How do you explain that to your boss, though? "Uh.. I can't come to work today, it's raining rabbit heads..."
