Current debt exceeds seven TRILLION. There are approx. 300 million Americans, of which probably 200 million are old enough to work. Of these 200 million, about half pay little or no income taxes or are retired. The middle class "producers" then number about 100 million of us. If your child becomes a middle class producer, then he or she has been burdened with an average debt to the nation to the tune of approximately SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! and counting. (for each billion in debt divided by 100 million you get ten dollars. There are a thousand billion per trillion. This gets you to ten thousand dollars. Multiply this number by seven trillion and you have your final amount.)
