Milken, Boesky, Bacanovic, etal... They never learn.

Another democrat criminal bites the dust. Stewart, whose net worth is stratospheric, was too cheap and too arrogant to take a paltry $50K loss. It wasn't even chump change for her but, like Leona Helmsley, she just had to be different and better than "the little people" who are held to the law.

(Yes, I know -- gmoore already posted this news. A search before posting, under "Stewart," turned up nothing.)

Ah, well. I think she was railroaded. But I can't say I like her very much.

I presume she will appeal.

And if she had just held on or sold legally and invested in Genetech, she'd be ok and even richer.

Greed, hubris, ego and narcissism will get you everytime.

Bullsh*t.

8 of 10 Freepers would have done the same thing under her same circumstances.

PS: And the other 2 Freepers are liars.

What is so pathetic about this is that a women who owned a business empire worth tens of millions of dollars, got all excited because $87,000 worth of some penny stock she owned was going go for a dive.

GREED, PURE AND SIMPLE!

Though it's undoubtedly already been said - IT'S A GOOD THING.

She used to be a stockbroker - she knew what she did was WRONG, and she was arrogant enough to think she could get away with it.

Kudos to the jury.

Martha repeatedly messed up. Had she admitted her screw-up when she was first investigated, and apologized, she would likely have receceived only a token civil penalty. Her pride, power and arrogance is what may put her in the slammer.

Martha Stewart convicted of, and about to do time for, lying.

Convicted of lying---same thing as Bill Clinton, but Billie boy didn't do time!

But I distinctly remember Martha being one of Bill's hags a few years back, hoping to sleep with the Rapist-in-Chief. I bet she feels abandoned! Her prosecution is in New York. Oh---Hillary's New York. It becomes clearer...:-)
