Tides Center accused of money laundering:
http://www.activistcash.com/index.cfm?org_id=225 "Anonymity is very important to most of the people we work with."
Tides Foundation founder Drummond Pike, quoted in The Chronicle of Philanthropy
>>>>>
....The Tides Center board of directors has been especially busy of late. In 2001 the first Tides franchise office (not counting Tides presence in Washington and New York) was opened in Pittsburgh. This new outpost, called the Tides Center of Western Pennsylvania, was erected largely at the urging of Pittsburgh native Teresa Heinz (the widow of Senator John Heinz, the ketchup heir). Heinz pulls more strings in the foundation world than almost any other old-money socialite; shes presently married to U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-MA). The Tides Foundation has collaborated on funding projects with the Heinz Endowments (Teresa Heinzs personal domain) for over 10 years.

I won't hold my breath until the national media picks up on this. Fox News maybe, but the NY Times. CNN, CBS etc. pigs will fly first.

Seems to me an IRS investigation into their tax-exempt status is in order, considering the organizations' work is all political (ain't campaign finance reform great!).

Poster "dead" ignores the opponent in his face, and instead posts-up at the three point line.....he shoots...he scores.

Has anyone checked to see if the wifes making the talk show circuit have a history of making political contributions? Would be nice to know.

No, dead, you can't be seriously implying that this organization would allow money to color its perceptions, could you? You're not series, are you? This would be a hugh conflict of interest on Peaceful Tomorrows' part! I'm sure Senator Kerry knows nothing about this and would feel bad if it were brought to his attention.../hurling chunks>
