What do you mean? Don't you need a wheelbarrow;-)

"McDonald's added entree salads and has been moving to provide more fruit, vegetable and yogurt options with its Happy Meals. But the Oak Brook, Ill.-based company remains a magnet for public concerns and legal actions about obesity."

When I go to McDonald's, I WANT a hamburger and fries. That is what I go there for. I know what I'm getting. If I wanted fruits and vegetables, I would not be going to McDonalds. As for yogurt, most yogurt based snacks aren't that great for you anyway. Like granola bars, they have the image of being healthy, but I think the image is misleading most of the time.

Why isn't anyone attacking all the "Fat-free" products that are loaded with sucrose, fructose, and corn syrup? They are masquerading as health food, but they are not.

Yep, fat free corn syrup, and sugar free lard. That's a healthy diet, it's both fat free and sugar free. Isn't it?

Before starting on the Atkins plan, when hitting a Mickey-D's on road trips, Mrs. kevkrom and myself would typically get one "super-size" meal plus an additional sandwich and just split the fries and the drink.

Well, so much for a cheap meal? When my family of six goes to McDonald's we usually get about three of the supersized fries to share.

That's why I own McDonalds. They are in touch with the consumer base. Every day. In person. Customer by customer.

I would buy still buy their fries had they not changed the recipe.

Bingo! Dump MickyD's stock because giving in to the food Nazi's will do them in.

Their fries have sucked ever since they started cooking them in vegetable oil. If they were smart they'd offer a "classic" menu (with more choices!) that includes fries cooked the original way.

I rarely eat there anymore myself.

When I was a kid and we would have pot roast dinner on Sunday we would eat meat, a lot of it, mashed potatoes with lots of gravy, some squash or turnip, milk, and some salad possibly. At a burger joint you get the meat and potatoes, a veggie if one orders a side salad, and milk if one choses, and some bread. What's the problem? What it the problem is, is that the food is too cheap, too easy to get, we have it too often, and parents do not order milk and salads for their children, and we over eat. It is not the fault of the food.

Everyone I know did the same thing. One of McDonald's goals was to increase the average price of an order this year so to increase profits. I do not think they are making decisions about health. When we travel with our teenage daughters now my wife makes some decent sandwiches and good snacks like fruit and veggies. The kids like them better since they are now looking at their health and have gotten over "happy meals".

I can see it now! McGranola bars, McLettuce, McSoybean burgers, hold the bun and boil the fries. Make it "All natural and organic!"

Just like Disney Corp. cater to the left and see what you gain........Burger King has to be loving it! Have it YOUR way, not the leftist elitists who are forcing their ideals on the majority because a few trial lawyers get rich in court thanks to some leftist jury.

***NEWS FLASH***

McDonald's has just announced a restructuring of their ValueMeals - All Large-size orders will now cost the same as Super-Size orders.

This is to help consumers feel as though they are still getting Super-Sized, without the calories.

Yep. Remember when Burger King had those long nasty greasy fries? They were great. Don't eat there anymore because they switched them to some McD's-like pseudofry and it seems they switched to utility grade beef or worse. Those aren't flame grill marks, that's where the jockey was hitting it.

Ya can't win.

Know what you mean. I once went out with a girl who said she didn't want anything to do with a guy unless his male organ was 8". That ended that for me. I wasn't going to cut off 2" for anyone... :>)

(Am I in trouble now for posting this?)
