do you realize that this would have been election night for the recall election if the 9th Circuit decision hadn't been overturned?

Good news on 56 apparently going down! :):)
That proposition deserves its own thread.
It MUST be defeated.
To: goldstategop
Agreed, I don't dislike Jones. But I don't think he's a strong candidate, and I don't think he can defeat Boxer in November.
To: GoldenStateConservative
I know how you feel. I voted for Howard too. Let's face it, I'm sucker for conservative principles even if my fellow Republicans here are skittish of embracing a candidate who stands four-square for them.

Regarding Sheila Kuehl....
She brings to mind my favorite line from the movie First Wives Club...
"Oh Daddy, I'm a Lesbian. A big one."

Me too. That's what I think. Then again I guess being a minority makes many Republicans here feel they must be liked by Democrats in order to win. We won't as long we keep compromising who we are for the sake of an elusive victory.

Sheila James Kuehl was an actress as a child, under the name Sheila James. She is also a far-left lesbian activist. In one old interview, she said she was pushed out of acting because Hollywood thought she looked "too butch."

Its a message to the Democrats that even hard core Marxists in the Bay Area don't like higher taxes if THEY have to pay them.
