Well, it isn't so much a conservative mandate, although the collapse of 56 across the state, everywhere, except for the city and county of Frisco, across the other 57 counties via a dishonest marketing campaign in favor of 56 was grand, as the state as a whole not having much of a regional divide. It was as if the Bay area imported voters to Orange County, and OC did the reverse.

Can you imagine if Peltier won. Every speech would start out, "Live, from the Federal Prison in...."
Maybe he could pardon himself.

As a conservative I am an optimist. Things are going to get better. They have to. I mean the media likes to create the impression the world is going to hell in a handbasket but if we stop to think and realize what people around us are also thinking, we can make a difference. As individuals we don't need to get the government's permission to make changes. If we stop looking to government to fix all of our problems and begin empowering ourselves, we'll all be better off.

Well, I definitely got it going in the self-empowerment department! So I must be on the right track.

I still have faith in our fellow citizens. The Democrats have to lie and deceive and resort to breaking the law and having activist judges ram their agenda down our throats cause people would vote against it first chance they get. So I'm thinking they're overreaching themselves with what they're doing and quite frankly, I hope they keep it up.

Did anybody else see the news showing Arnold Schwarzenegger campaigning inside a polling place by asking some old person to vote for 57/58?

Yes, people hate having stuff cramed down their throats. Newsom is digging his grave, I hope, for him and for the party.

Ya I saw it. I assume he was voting in his own polling place. If so, Arnold has a right to free speech, and that trumps any state law to the contrary.

Its not a resounding vote of confidence in the Education Establishment. The "Education Mafia" is a more accurate moniker.

Santa Clara is now basically IN, Los Angeles is 2/3 in, with San Bernadino and OC out, and San Diego 3/4 OUT.
Long slow climb back to 50-50, IMO.

Sequoia Machines...easy to hack via visio using VBA code that disappears when the election is closed on the machine.
Bad news there...
To: sfRummygirl
"You are positive, aren't you!" Don't see much upside any other way.
Now watch just how positive I am.
According to the CA Secy State election page, 11.3% of Orange County is reported. 55 is losing by 10% in OC. State wide 55 is leading by 35,000 votes...1%.
Now if, and this is a big if, the SS is correct, and the trend continues, at the end of the day Orange County will vote no by plus 200,000 votes.
BYE BYE 55!

Did anybody else see the news showing Arnold Schwarzenegger campaigning inside a polling place by asking some old person to vote for 57/58? Weird. I thought that sort of thing was illegal.
