Jones will make this the most boring democratic victory ever.I'll put on my rino colored classes and vote for him, regardless.

Supposively Jones and Arnold are friends (Arnold endorsed Jones). So...we'll see.

Voters feel financially stressed and grumpy. Screw the children. But voters with below average incomes with kids have had almost none of their votes counted yet. This is one of those issues where the dichotomy between absentees and the rest will be rather plain, in about an hour. If not, have fun with moi as the dart board.

As will I. I'm just disappointed that he is the best we have to challenge Boxer. We actually had the chance to defeat Barbara Boxer, and Bill Jones is all we came up with.
To: goldstategop
Keep in mind, San Diego County hasn't reported yet. I still think Prop 55 is not doing well with all the money the teacher union spent.
To: Torie
Jones is going to win all 58 counties. Write that down. Can't he just refer to your post? Why does he have to write it down? Now it's on the thread at least twice. I don't think anyone really needs to write it down. That would probably be a wasted effort. I know I'm not going to write it down. I don't have time to waste writing down everything you post. ;)

All that money and so little to show for it. And mind you, all the other unions opened their warchests for the deceptively named Prop. 56 - no dice there.

In California politics, Conservatives + Hispanics = Victory.
I stand by my claim.

You would profit however from writing it all down, and maybe more than once. Cheers.

Unfortunately, Marin is only a Hispanic, not a Conservative.
No victory for Marin.
As expected, a Jim Costa (D) and Roy Ashburn (R) matchup in the open CA-20. This should be a close race despite the district being made more Democratic after 2000.
To: LdSentinal
Democrats outside San Francisco should be scared. None of them are going to cross Arnold til after November.

Unfortunately, Marin is only a Hispanic, not a Conservative. She sure fooled me and Al Rantel yesterday.
She's with Bush on all but abortion. Is that your litmus test?

Not just any Hispanic. It needs to be one with gravitas. Frankly, the key to Hispanics is Arnold types, one, two, three, many Arnolds, macho but approachable, with a light touch, and not too ideological.

With a dollop of conservatism, preferably of the economic variety. That seems to play well with a lot of Democrats who don't like Sacramento much either.

That platform appeals more to higher income agnostic Anglos, of which Calif has much more than its share. Trust me.
