Proposition 55 is going down. Its passing in the Bay Area! only by a slim margin. That's not going to help downstate and Orange County has yet to report in.

That's too bad. Lungren's a nice guy from a nice family (I was somewhat acquainted with his parents through my job many years back), but like a lot of CA Republicans is just too milktoast to take on the Dems. Sounds like he may be going down in flames in the primary which is kind of interesting.

Looks like Peter Camejo's experience in the Recall has empowered him enough to run for President.

Are you calling Lungren a carpetbagger, or someone else? To my understanding, Lungren's lived in the Sacramento area for many, many years now. His parents (his dad was a prominent doctor in So. CA) moved up there to live near him.

I am in the "I know I'm losing, so I'm just gonna keep telling myself happy things" mood right now. Forgive me. I'll hold out hope for Kaloogian.

I believe Camejo already did run for President in 72 or 76 as the Socialist Candidate. Some freeper correct me if I am wrong.

I'll take your word for it - but it should really be doing a lot better up north and its losing big in Los Angeles County.

I think Dornan's gone over the edge. If he wanted to take someone on, he should have gone for a rematch with Sanchez, who did him out of the election on the basis of illegal alien votes. (I am somewhat familiar with the case due to my work and had no doubt it was a stolen election...)

Taking on Rohrabacher, a solid conservative, was nuts indeed...

Looks like Jones and Boxcar.

Glad 56 is losing. 55 looks like it will pass...barely.

Dornan has been over the edge for a long time. That actually is one of his charms. But he at least used to use his fiery persona against democrats. This is it for him. No more B-1 to kick around any more.

Honestly, though, I do think he still has a chance. If only eight percent is reporting, then 92% still has to report. That gives Kaloogian pleny to room to catch up.
