"I can sympathize with your reaction, but instead of voting Losertarians we should double up the effore to kick out RINO's and Liberal Republicans from the party."

LOL. Where have YOU been for 30 years? You think it's just this vote? BOTH my senators voted against it, and one of them is the 2nd in command of the Demcrats! IT's the states that they are from. It don't matter what I do or we do, we don't and can't vote there. The states are packed with ignorant feminized traitors. What you demand and expect is for the Republican Party Leader to drag their sorry asses up to the podium and demand they vote the Republican way or find their asses out of every damned committee worth salt. You remove their reelection funding and help. You do a hundred different things. But one thing as Leadership you NEVER DO - YOU DON'T EVER LET SCHUEMER AND KENNEDY AND FEINSTEIN DANCE WITH GLEE for shit they put on OUR F'ING BILLS!!!!
oh fudge, now they are going after bullets. It's just beginning.

I just called my Seantor, Gordon Smith, to tell him that I would no longer vote for him or campaign for him, and the women who I was telling this to YAWNED as I was telling her this, then said, "yeah, yeah."

THAT IS IT as far as EVER voting for him again.

And I am pro-life, and have voted for and campaigned for him for every term he has ever asked us for...

That's not what he said, he said he wanted the Senate to pass a clean bill *so as not to delay passage* of the liability protection bill. Not quite the same thing.

Please. I know you want Bush to spell it out for you, but believe me, he doesn't want the AWB provision to reach his desk in any form. DeLay will kill this. His voters want him to kill it in conference.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

"If it passes into law, I will not vote for the Republicans. If there is no difference between republican and democrat, why not just put the people in that we know are evil instead of being stabbed in the back by the ones we voted for to protect our rights? "

That's what I keep saying, and for my trouble I get subjected to personal attacks by the "vote Republican at all cost crowd."

Y'all know who you are.

Remember the 1994 elections?

"Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming. It's clear that the anger controls the child and not the other way around. It's the job of the parent to teach the child to control the anger and channel it in a positive way. Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week....Parenting and governing don't have to be dirty words: the nation can't be run by an angry two-year-old." -- ABC World News Tonight anchor Peter Jennings in his daily ABC Radio commentary, November 14.

Those who neglect history are doomed to repeat it.

Well actually an honest reply.

IMO, you are poisoned by your purist attitude.

How, precisely, is a ban on assault weapons a violation of the 2nd Amendment?

A ban on any arms is a violation of the second amendment. The second states that the right protected, that is the right to keep and bear arms, belongs to the people, "right of the people. Not a power of the states. That right is not to be infringed, not to be touched. Denying the people the right to purchase an entire class of arms is an infringement of their right to keep and bear those arms, especially "to keep", which meant to have, not merely to retain, as is the more common modern usage

A ban, or even a stiff tax not applied to other good, on machine guns, which the so-called assault weapons are most assuredly not, is also such an infringement.

"We seem to get unpopular in a hurry if that's not the position we take. Although since the election is starting to look very close I've noticed the neos have backed off on the attacks a little. I guess they weren't real happy with the answer to "you're either with us or against us".

Yeah, my response to that is, "Okay, I guess I'm against you."

I was obviously under the mistaken impresstion that the fine people of Indiana had sent a true conservative to represent them in the Senate. My bad.

So was I, my friend, so was I. Lugar was a favorite of mine for years. That changed about an hour ago.
