Next thing you'll know, gay activists will demand gay majority districts for legislative seats. Actually that could be good for the GOP. With all the gays packed into a few districts, the GOP could actually win a few seats in places like San Francisco.

San Francisco is probably the only place in America where homosexuals are a large enough voting group to be able to draw a "homosexual-influence" congressional district (although maybe they could draw homosexual-influence state rep districts in other cities). I don't know if gays are already packed into Pelosi's CD in San Francisco (I shudder to use the words "gay" and "packed" in the same sentence, but this is what we've come to), but even if they could be further packed in it wouldn't make the surrounding districts any less Democratic.
You know what GOP redistricters did with at least one heavily gay community in Broward County, Florida? They placed it in Alcee Hastings' black-majority district! Area gays complained that they were being targeted and placed in the district as a form of punishment (while I agree that having an impeached judge as your congressman is certainly a punishment, that's a funny argument for liberal Democrats to make, and one that I'm sure many black Democrats in the district found offensive), but GOP state legislators replied that they merely put them there because the gay area is a heavily RAT bastion and they wanted to pack as many Democrats into as few districts as possible.
