Another Kerry flip flop(death penalty for terrorists?)
CNN transcript | Feb 27 2004 | Freeper Cboldt and Summer

Posted on 02/27/2004 9:24:28 AM PST by Dog

While reading the live thread from last evening's Democratic debate I came across Freeper Cboldt's link to a Senate vote in 1989 S.B 1798

Senator Kerry was one of the twenty Senators to cast a NO vote on A bill to provide for the imposition of the death penalty for the terrorist murder of United States nationals abroad..

Freeper Summer was kind enough to post a link to the debate transcript

This is how Senator Kerry answered the question posed by Larry King.

King: You are against capital punishment, except in the case of terrorism.

KERRY: Correct.

Then King went on to ask "what about someone who killed a five year old?" and Kerry answered that he'd personally want to strangle that person with his own hands, but in light of all these people recently being released from death row thanks to DNA evidence he does not support the death penalty.

The typical FOR AND AGAINST answer. The man is a one trick pony!

if / when there's a debate between Kerry and Our Pres, I would just love for Bush to have a huge "laundry list" of issues Kerry has contradicted himself on, and then ask "for the record, just what the hell is your stance on ANY issue????"

President Bush has already very effectively started addressing Kerry's flip flops. He does it with humor, not bashing, but the media and Kerry characterize it as an "attack". Nonetheless, he's started taking it to Kerry. This issue will get added to "the list", I'm quite sure.

But he said "correct" when King said he was against it except for terrorists.

I know we all wanted to get our hands on that transcript last night, because he made a series of definitive answers (I can't remember off the top of my head what the issue was, but I heard him say to Edwards at one point "I NEVER said that" and I sure wanted to get the transcript and investigate if he'd "never" said it.) LOL

I see the link summer gave takes us to the Washington Post. Maybe CNN will put it up, too. Would we be able to post it here, then?

Right, so Kerry is in favor of not putting to death mass murderers like John Allen Muhammad and John Lee Malvo.

Can't wait for that ad.

What struck me in the transcript, other than the death penalty issue, was Kerry's commentary on Wal Mart. Did you see the Drudge report on Teresa Heinz Kerry's extensive holdings (I think $2 million) in Wal Mart? I think they were purchased since 2002.

Hey, quick question (I'm kinda new here, so forgive me for being a bit lazy). Is there currently a thread dedicated to keeping track of all of John Kerry's flip flops? They are so numerous, it might not be a bad idea. I would love to have all the ammo ready to go when I need to debate my liberal friends.

I pulled this off a google search:

Mr. Kerry's return (1995) showed $126,920 in wages, $617 in interest income, a capital loss of $1,358, for an adjusted income of $126,179. Mr. Kerry reported deductions of about $7,500 for state and local taxes and claimed no charitable deductions.

I need to correct previous post: she has $1 million in Wal Mart. The story is on Drudge.

Typical zero on charity... bit of a pattern, isn't it? I think Al Gore's charity was negligible, and as for Bill Clinton's generous donation of his underwear.... let's not go there! But it does seem like paying that big mortgage payment may be a bit of a problem... I think the interest payment alone is more than his total income. That Wal Mart money his wife is sitting on may come in handy after all.

You know, I don't believe I've ever seen a presidential candidate take so many different positions. This makes Clinton's "But I didn't inhale" remarks look kind of tame in comparison.

He's probably deadly when it comes to playing that game Twister.

The media has and will continue to characterize Kerry's inconsistencies as "nuanced positions".

"Kerry is a very complex man"

How long before we hear that one?

We need a candidate at the top of this ticket who can connect with voters everywhere in America. ...I suppose a Viet Nam vet with the vestige of traitor and a silver tongued trial lawyer fill that bill..............

UFCW workers who have been out there walking for five months. A husband and a wife who haven't worked in five months because they can't get health care....so now an able bodied man and woman don’t seek work because they want someone else to pay for their perks? They want entitlements like other socialist countries have...cradle to grave government care rather than take on the responsibility themselves?

Now, it is absolutely true that the economy is a huge issue. I think jobs is blah –blah-blah the blah-blah-blah component . Health care is blah-blah a huge issue. What's blah-blah seas blah-blah image around the world is blah-blah-blah. No doubt about any of that.

What do we do to attract independent voters? Because we have to get these people.........tell the truth maybe, that you want socialism for starters and you will muzzle any candidate for the SC that doesn’t think like a socialist?

But the point I'm trying to make here is I have actually won one. This is not something we have to guess about. I've won in a part of the country that's a very difficult place for a Democrat to win......well as a southerner, Mr. Edwards, we’ll never get bit twice by the same snake – you are well aware of your reputation in the south...are you relying on polls? ....

KERRY: There's nothing that documents what he just said. I'm just telling you that I won Independents, and many Republicans crossed over and registered as Democrats for the first time to say, "I'm voting for you in this race." ...the man is delusional...many Republicans or a few Republicans – if any?

Kerry “I was one of the first people to fight for deficit reduction blah-blah-blah
Edwards: “I've been a prosecutor. I've sent people to jail for the rest of their life. They care about law and order in the South.”...law and order is about to go out the window with these liberal/socialist bombastic Snake Oil Salesmen............

I'm a gun owner...”
I'm a veteran...
” jobs, health care, education, protection the environment, breathing clean air, drinking clean water........... nothing more than bloated rhetoric and more Snake Oil....we are spending three times as much money on education NOW as we spend on the defense of this country and no one will or can account for the trillions spent on education as it spirals out of existence......

Enough, I think I am going to be sick...there is enough Barbara Streisand here to sink a good size ship!
