He is now saying its only ammunition that is marketed as armor defeating ammo. He is saying other types of hunting ammo would still be legal. But I dont believe him....

Are we to the point yet where we need to request our senators kill the whole bill or is it worth the risk of having the bill fixed in conference committee?
Also, is there any chance they can vote 1805 down and then have a vote on 1806 without amendment?

and that it is our job to not vote for the amendments. /more sarcasm

Kennedy: Why do hunters need armor-piercing bullets?
Answer: Because they've been using them for decades. You are the one coming up with the term "Armor-piercing".
Massachusetts needs to be thrown out of the USA.
To: OXENinFLA
This is one fast bullet. I totally agree. I have a 22-250 as well. While the 55 and 50 gr bullets are screamers the 40 gr variety really deliver the mail.. high speed...

How does Kennedy keep getting elected?

That pic doesn't really proportion it out correctly.

This is all about election year politics.
The worried Dems got to be "pro-industry", while the worred RINOs got to be "pro-safety".
And the poisoned bill will not become law.

Hey, Sarah, can you count? Did more Republican vote for it or not?
I'll bet you don't even know which amendment it even was because I sure don't.

What ammo is that? I have not seen any on the shelves at the local shop.

Voting for Bush is, of course, better than voting for any of the dems, and refusing to vote in protest is not an option. This leaves me with Bush for November 2004 no matter what.
But if I have to watch him sign all this into law, saying "Hey guys, I have no choice", then I may rethink the use of the term "Smirk".

I believe this is an attempt to ban all high power rifle ammunitionThat's exactly what this is. Ban "armor piercing" ammo and you have banned just about every gun except a .22. Don't forget there are different levels of body armor, some will only stop a 9mm, not a .45..some with panels will stop rifle bullets.
