This is an interesting development:
1) Historically, once a message has been broadcast from Al Qaeda, there has usually been an attack within 43 days or less.
2) I dont believe an Al Qaeda figure has ever broadcast a "face to face" threat directly to the President, and named him by name, but I could be wrong.
3) Releasing it to two different media outlets is also un-precedented, and shows an intention to broadcast as far and wide as possible.
Something is definitely up out there.
Heads Up folks!

I don't think this statement is correct. There were two tapes, but each was sent to a different station and contained different messages, correct? Al-jazeera got the "Beware Bush Tape" and Al-Arabiya got the "Beware France Tape" Please correct me if I'm wrong!

What struck me as strange.
Last week we had a emergency simulation here in the Seattle/Tacoma area, for IF A DIRTY BOMB goes off.
Call me paranoid, but it raises a red flag for me all over the place.
Why on earth have a emergency simulation, unless you really have a threat-(SPECIFIC).

Has there been an attack since al qaeda's other audiotape release, I think it was around Christmas? I think that al qaeda changed their MO recently or attacks were averted.
