The tape said the terror network is “still in the holy war battleground” and vowed to carry out more terrorist attacks against the United States.
"Bush, fortify your targets, tighten your defense, intensify your security measures," the voice warned, "because the fighting Islamic community -- which sent you New York and Washington battalions -- has decided to send you one battalion after the other, carrying death and seeking heaven."
A senior U.S. intelligence official told NBC News that while analysis of the tapes was continuing, they do appear to be authentic.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the simultaneous distribution of tapes to two different stations seems unprecedented.
U.S. intelligence closely monitors statements attributed to senior al-Qaida leaders, the official said, noting that on some occasions statements attributed to al-Zawahiri are believed to have contained “go signals” for terrorist attack.

And I'm wondering if we are going to go to "red", at least in selected cities.
every release of every tape of every threat has been "authenticated by US intelligence". I don't even know if that has any meaning anymore. Saddam was captured, I never heard if we asked him if he made those tapes that were released.
