February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

# 1 suggests that Pakistan is handing over OBL? That would severely contradict Seans story. Perhaps they have even better info, What could that be? The reason for me using the word they in #1 is because I did not hear the question that was posed to Ijaz, so I don't know if he was speaking of Iran or Pakistan when he said that.

Thanks for your post. I've often wondered about Mansoor's real agenda.

And to top that off, I would say that Pervez, Benazir Bhutto and her father former Pakistan Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (who openly said he wanted Pakistan to be a nuke nation and he himself wanted to build a nuke 30 years ago), and Mansoor all are complicit in silencing any leaks about the black market network. My bet is that they all knew and supported it in whatever capacity they felt comfortable... They all agreed that the muslim world needed nuke capability, too.
As for Pervez specifically, he didn't jump in to help America after 911; we all know he had/has a gun to his head that is loaded gun with financial and military bribes. The trouble with this is, in my opinion, what wacky nation has ever been completely bought with our carrots? I hope we are not as foolish as we were with North Korea...

Ping to Post number 65.
Any updates available to the great unwashed regarding terrorists and the machinations of their supporters?
Both of people that may be suspected of inadvertent and willing cooperation and any significant new characters.
We need a fix of reality, however dire.

Sorry, all, I had just posted all of the below on the old thread before finding you! I am very worried after reading all the updates today:

Sorry such a late reply- just got back on. The post about NORAD being on the highest level of alert and all vacations cancelled came from the Final Phase forum, and was posted 2/22 by someone called Wing17.

Re- the Bio. On the HomelandSecurityUS.net site, Jill had posted rantings from the jihad websites. A major site bragged that the "dance of death" had begun, and that if would be 24-48 hours before we would even be aware that it had been initiated.
Other postings remarked that "Operation 8" was already underway.
They went on to talk about weighing the pros and cons of bio attack in terms of effects on future generations. They went to great lengths to justify their decision to do this "momentous" attack. Further, they made reference to Americans having "dog disease".

I got confused about what tape was going to "precede" the major attacks culminating in the cave of darkness. I thought AlJazerra had already played the relevant tape. Another- screened by CNN- is worrisome. The AQ's repeatedly have stated that they will give our government brief advance notice of the attack, so that the officials can watch from their underground bunkers. They further say that the officials will "cry like women" when they see the destruction one of their own cities.

Yes. A few other thoughts: didn't Atta and others spend some time in Germany prior to 9/11?
I've still been mulling over what they mean by dog disease. Searched through lots of posts and found the references to prairee dogs and smallpox.
I also remembered some of the jihad websites mentioning sending WMD via cadavers on selected flights. Now, what flights handle cadavers??? Could they put a smallpox infested body on a plane, and claim another cause of death?
Also, recall those two Ukrainean pilots who mysteriously died after delivering their cargo- the same cargo that "someone high up" paid the workers NOT to inspect.
In the recent NORAD simulation, not only a nuclear attack but a bio attack is "responded to".
Sorry to be jumping around so much- I know this sounds garbled- am just trying to put bits and pieces together.

all are complicit in silencing any leaks about the black market network HA! Is the Pope Polish? Does a bear....
When an entire state proliferates as promiscuously as Pakistan, you bet they all knew. And profited, too. Benazir had a great cover as a woman PM in islamic pakistan, great press coverage and a media darling in the west. Do you really think she forgot her father's exhortations and self described nuclear messianic mission for the Islamic bomb. I doubt it. Remember, she was either powerless or actually encouraged the establishment of a Taliban antiwoman regime in Afgha. But she knows the right things to say on Oprah, or LarryKing or Greta.
Like Musharraf, smooooooth as silk, and oh so earnest.

Thanks, and yes, I understand what Manosoor Ijaz is saying. His is the first logical comment I have seen on why we've have apparently made the deal with the Iranians that we have concerning OBL's capture.
Iran is going to be a nuclear power whether we like it or not. Not even the Israeli's will be able to preempt this eventuality.
Iran is a defacto military ally of Russia. I predict that in the near future the US and EU and Israel will be engaged in a full scale war with them and their allies. So the deal we've just made is in effect a near-term arrangement that just postpones the inevitable.
A nuclear attack on US soil will probably make the deal null and void.
I am looking for the Ijaz transcript.

Yes, you are 100% correct, IMO. No wonder Norad went on highest level of alert; Putin dismissed Russian government, SArabia initiated "exercises", US "exercising" with India. even Japan on highest state of alert ever.
Meanwhile, we are being spoonfed Kobe Bryant.

The entire text of daleel's post is a rehash verbatim which has been posted by daleel and one other poster (I believe something very similar was posted by Jihad Falcon) for the upteenth time in the past 5 months or so. It is verbatim!
When this post was first posted many months ago, it said 19/19/19/?23 at the end. Then, when daleel reposted it around the holidays, the 19/19/19/?23 was altered to 19/19/19/?24. That change from 23 to 24 was the only difference then. If anyone can see any other changes since that time, please post them.

Info on new AQ tape:
Bin Laden Deputy Warns of More Attacks on the U.S.
By Andrew Hammond
(snippet)
DUBAI (Reuters) - A top al Qaeda leader warned President Bush in an audiotape broadcast Tuesday to prepare for more attacks on the United States.
In the tape aired by Al Jazeera television, Ayman al-Zawahri said: "Bush, strengthen your defenses and your security measures for the Muslim nation which sent you the legion of New York and Washington has determined to send you legion after legion seeking death and paradise."
Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's right-hand man, also appeared on Tuesday to single out France in its league of enemies, accusing Paris of displaying "Crusader hatred" toward Islam by banning Muslim headscarves from state classrooms.
By turning on France in an audiotape broadcast on Dubai-based Al Arabiya television, Zawahri -- identifiable by his voice and rhetorical style -- went beyond now familiar tirades against the United States, Britain, Gulf Arab states and other supporters of last year's U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
"France is the country of freedom which defends freedom to show the body and to be immoral and depraved. In France you're free to show yourself but not to dress modestly," he said in reference to the headscarf ban newly approved by parliament.
"This is a new sign of the Crusader hatred which Westerners harbor against Muslims while they boast of freedom, democracy and human rights," said the voice on the tape.
The authenticity of both recordings aired on the two Arab televisions could not immediately be verified, but they sounded like previous messages attributed to the Egyptian Zawahri, who is regarded as Osama bin Laden's deputy and thought to be hiding with him somewhere near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
In the Al Jazeera tape, Zawahri said Bush had lied in last month's State of the Union address when he asserted that most of al Qaeda had been crushed and that U.S. troops were spreading freedom and democracy.
"Bush alleged that his troops have spread freedom in the world, that Iraq had achieved democracy thanks to his coalition forces, that his government has crushed more than two-thirds of al Qaeda and that...Afghanistan is secure," he said.
"The leader of the most powerful country on earth is not embarrassed to say these deceptions and lies. It's gotten to the stage that he can ridicule his listeners to this degree," he said.
Bush defended his war on terrorism and policy in Iraq in his State of the Union address that set the tone for his re-election campaign later this year.
DRIVING A WEDGE
Al Qaeda is widely seen as bent on radicalizing Muslims worldwide and encouraging them to rise up against the West in what some analysts have termed a "clash of civilizations."
The network, held responsible for the September 2001 attacks on the U.S. cities and a string of others, has portrayed Bush's "war on terror" as a modern-day crusade against Islam.
By focusing on the French headscarf ban, it appeared to be seizing on a fresh opportunity to promote that agenda and drive a wedge between Islam and the West.
Previous statements attributed to al Qaeda have usually focused on the United States and countries which backed the invasion of Iraq last year. French President Jacques Chirac was one of the war's most vocal opponents.
Along with France, the tape attacked Muslim countries which have made moves to secularize their societies along Western lines. "This is a campaign planned by the Crusader Zionists with their agents in Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia and other Islamic countries," Zawahri said.
His use of "Zionists" referred to supporters of Israel.
He said the French veil ban, which was also accompanied by bans on shows of Christian and Jewish faith in state schools, was part of a series of attacks on Muslims.
He also cited Israel's treatment of Palestinians, the U.S. occupation of Iraq and detention of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay, where foreign terrorism suspects are held by Washington:
"America has given itself the right to kill or detain anyone anywhere and to deport anyone to anywhere for any period, without anyone daring to ask why, who, where or until when."
"Atomic weapons are banned for everyone except Israel," he added, referring to U.S. ally Israel's presumed weapons arsenal.
(snip.....)
Fox News Alert--2 gitmo detainees Al Osi, driver and cook of OBL and Al Bahlul, bodyguard of OBL charged with conspiring to commit war crimes.

This may sound like a dumb questions, but does the US have/had suitcase nuke spread throughout Russia, Iran, etc. just like Russia said they did during the cold war? I know there may be no evidence to show for it, but it kind of makes sense...Why have ICBMs when technology at the time could used suit cast nukes...its cheaper.

""France is the country of freedom which defends freedom to show one's body, and to be immoral and depraved. In France, you're free to show yourself but not to dress in a modest manner," Zawahri said."
In response, Chirac quickly issued a new edict today requiring all women of France to wear headscarfs. Men around the world cheer! ;-)
