February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Zambia Police Hold Two for Suspected Uranium Cache

March 12 — By Shapi Shacinda

LUSAKA (Reuters) - Zambia has detained two men suspected of possessing a cache of what police believe could be bomb-grade uranium, police and the men's lawyer said on Friday.

Police said they were conducting tests with scientists at the country's best-equipped laboratory to determine the potency of the uranium.

Isn't that interesting. I saw the headline on the main board but assumed it was Mexican immigrants and didn't open.

Wouldn't all those Mexican illegals love the aid and support of the Muslim community?? That is a BIG problem that our government does not see.

Terrorists could take up residence in Mexico with all their money, the corruption there would assist them greatly. Who knows how many have come across already with their train bombs and bio weapons.

Just 15 minutes ago there was a story on about the border fence in San Diego that does not continue on the last "many" miles going toward the Pacific Ocean because envirowhackos have prevented it. So, we are protecting a few plants instead of protecting ourselves!!

I found this while googling Emergency Preparedness. Please google and see for yourselves the amount of recent info. on the subject. The description in this article reminds me of the posting on Wyoming from the past few days, regarding the rumbling in the ground.

Hundreds Evacuated (Oil Well Blow Out in New Mexico)

By Stella Davis/Current-Argus Staff Writer
Mar 11, 2004, 11:59 pm
http://www.currentargus.com/artman/publish/article_5277.shtml

CARLSBAD, NM — Hundreds of residents evacuated areas of south Carlsbad after an unexpected penetration of a natural gas pocket at an oil drilling rig site caused a blowout Thursday.

A 10-man crew on the drilling rig escaped unharmed, said Frank Navarrette, assistant chief of the Carlsbad Fire Department…..

At the drilling rig site, in the 4100 block of National Parks Highway, a thick, brown, fog-like odorous cloud made the lower portion of the drilling rig almost invisible…

The situation, which began around 9:30 a.m., worsened two hours later as the weather changed and the gas cloud spread. Authorities began to evacuate an expanded area of south Carlsbad, which included offices, businesses, homes, schools and motels…..

Witnesses at the scene said the first release of gas sent dirt and debris spewing about 75 feet into the air. They said the noise was equivalent to a jet coming in to land.

As the morning progressed, reports started coming in that some residents needed medical assistance because of the fumes they had inhaled. Concentrations of natural gas can cause respiratory problems, fire officials said.

“It sounded like a jet airplane landing,” Lowe said. “We went outside and saw a black liquid-type substance spurting straight up into the air. It was spurting well over the height of the drilling rig. Then there was a big dust coming up from the ground.”
Navarrette said the initial fear was that the drilling operation had hit a pocket of hydrogen sulfide gas, which is deadly if inhaled. But officials later said there was no release of H2S.

“It sounded like a thunderstorm or a hurricane. It shot up in the air and blew south,” said Johnson, who is from Sun City West, Ariz. “I’ve never heard anything like that in my life.”

Navarrette said, should the wind change overnight, there could be more areas evacuated.

“The danger is not over until they are able to cap the well,” Waller added

There are the Carlsbad Nat'l Caverns right near there. I remember going there many years ago, they go on forever underground.

Train bombs set off by mobile phones.

Do you all remember when we got the train information from Twexus when we put in Taliya? I believe it was Phoenix.

When the oil companies do 3D Seismic ground testing to get underground readings, there were mentions in an article on Wyoming that Seismic testing would cause the ground to rumble.

Also this incident is adjacent to Sandia National Laboratories, where any number of testings could be happening.

I have never had an experience near a drilling site, so those Freepers from Texas or other states where drilling is common may have more info.

Whoa! Hold on there. My comments have been taken just a bit out of context.

The Free Republic is the best thing on the Internet and Freepers are the best, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!

What I am saying is that some people may inadvertently substitute it for face to face personal relationships. I think this is especially true for people who come from a liberal background but have no personal friends who have “seen the light”.

That can lead one to the feeling, to quote Rushmore Rocks;

“Sometimes I feel that my FReepers are my only friends. My family and friends keep rolling their eyeballs at me every time I mention these threats. I wonder if they are really aware and awake to what is happening in this world. They seem to think that I am the "goofball" and over reacting to this stuff. .”

It’s tough to be a convert when you are surrounded by “Political Pagans” (that’s an original, how do you like it?). So, rather than relying on Free Republic for Conservative camaraderie, it’s important to maintain personal relationships. Hopefully, with some soft-spoken persuasion, you’ll win over some converts to Conservatism. After all, many Liberals are not necessarily bad people; they just believe a bunch of lies. If you are their friend, you may be their only hope of hearing the truth.

On the other hand, it can be tough being a missionary among the political pagans. I suggest seeking out other Conservatives through your local Free Republic chapter, or a local political organization. Get involved locally! I hear that some universities now have Conservative clubs. If there isn’t one, put an ad in the student paper - “Patriots! Meet at Joe’ Bar and Grill for a beer, Tuesday night, 8:00.” You might be amazed to find how many others are craving conversation with fellow Conservatives.

Now, as to the thread I referenced in my last post, it is titled: "Regarding Freeper Obit. TrappedInLiberalHell and Depression"

And can be found at: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1039659/posts

It just occurred to me the sad coincidence of TrappedInLiberalHell’s handle. Who knows, but perhaps had he found Conservative companionship, things might have been different. He was a good Freeper. I miss his posts and feel quite sad about what happened. May he rest in peace.

Freepers, maintain and develop new personal relationships. This is my message.

Will Osama's frustration with Arab countries backfire? He's disgusted with them. Do they reciprocate the feeling? World trade and prosperity Vs a cave nut. Seems obvious. Is this good news for us? Thoughts?

Take a look at this excerpt from Bin Laden's tape of late December/early January that was only partially released at the time, but was released in its entirety last week:

Thus, the situation of all Arab countries suffers from great deterioration in all walks of life, in religious and worldly matters. It is enough to know that the economy of all Arab countries is weaker than the economy of one country that had once been part of our [Islamic] world when we used to truly adhere to Islam. That country is the lost Andalusia. Spain is an infidel country, but its economy is stronger than our economy because the ruler there is accountable. In our countries, there is no accountability or punishment but there is only obedience to the rulers and prayers of long life for them.
