February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

FUGITIVE CAUGHT IN CANADA HAD NEW PASSPORT, AUTHORITIES SAY

By Steve Strunsky
The Associated Press
3/11/2004, 8:30 p.m. ET

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — A Pakistani national who had surrendered his passport as a condition of his release in a grisly double murder case was arrested Wednesday in Canada, carrying what police say appeared to be a new passport issued to him by the Pakistani government.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is seeking extradition of Zaid Tariq, 22, a Pakistani citizen whose last known address was in Sayreville. Tariq refused to waive extradition proceedings, Prosecutor Edward J. DeFazio said Thursday.

It was actually Bachelor's dramatic recap of the looming threat on the U.S. and Britain. Then he talked about world markets in freefall, with his trademark music background. He's back on.

I really think that everyone confused Daleel with EOM. This is the first time I remember Daleel saying he would not be back. In fact I have never seen him post anything this ceartin in his mind before.

You could be right. Although I'm not looking for a medal, you and I and a handful of others have been here since Post No. 1, and there are time that I've needed correction.

She lost her Net Connection. I was knocked offline for a few hours this afternoon into evening.

Others too.

From Q files Radio show. (Quayle)

March 11

Tonight's Topic: global state of terror

Guest: Laura Mansfield, network analyst for Northeast Intelligence Network

Laura stated they had found, prior to the attack today in Spain, numerous calls to Jihad including references to March 10. Words in Spanish were also found at various information drops on the Internet. News released today from al-Qaeda stated that they were "90% ready" to launch their next attack(s) on America. Other attack sites mentioned are London, Tokyo, Moscow and Paris. Repeated reports of assassination threats to Pres. Bush, Vladimir Putin and Tony Blair have been heard, with the attacks to be implemented at the announced capture or death of Osama bin Laden. Laura feels OBL's demise will bring unprecedented attacks worldwide. Her specific concerns over the next 30 days are trains and subways based on information she's seen on Arabic forums. Historically al-Qaeda performs trial runs to see how far they can get, how much destruction they can wreck. Laura warns that if you must travel by train be sure to note where are the exits and what is going on around you. Northeast Intelligence Network analysts have found operational references to all rail and subway traffic in the UK and the US in conjunction with general threats to targets in Washington, DC and New York. Further specific references were found against the United Nations in New York City, which is consistent with the text of bin Laden's recently released speech. References to the use of chemical weapons (not biological or nuclear) are prevalent. Laura remarks that Islam is a religion of contradictions, one of both peace and immense violence. There was a posting several weeks ago about how specifically to build cyanide bombs easily and inexpensively. Further instruction on Jihad sites warned terrorists not to try to take it through security at airports but go for soft targets like hospitals, churches, temples, etc.

Sometimes I feel that my FReepers are my only friends.

That is a common phenomenon here on Free Republic. But, it is not a healthy one. An Internet site is a Internet site. It is no substitute for your friends and family. Do not neglect them or you will become isolated. Be willing to drop talking about this stuff when you're with them.

What prompts me to write this is a thread on depression a few months back following the suicide of a Freeper (do a search if inclined). If I remember right, many of the posters agreed that a fair number of Freepers suffer from depression. The above is one reason why I think that may be. Your friends and family are the real world, Free Republic, no matter how cool, is cyber space.

The Koran is something I should learn more about...[were there time and the leisure to do so. But time is up. It would have been a waste of time anyway.] But, the fact that the Islamic clerics [and all Islamic people in general], even here in the United States, refuse to publicly denounce terrorism is a very bad sign suicidal ommission on their part..

I believe we are in WW III. Based in the "Convert them or kill them" attitude that Islam appears to holds, I regret to say that this war may well may turn out to be very long and widespread.

Say it like you mean it!! :))
No PC required here. These devils are on the wrong side of the ocean. Next time, none of them will get the free ride they got after 9/11, at least not from a lot of Texans I know. By their silence, they are guilty, because by their silence, they show their heart.

Which is why I have to take breaks. I love you all, but have to take steps back to preserve health and happiness. A thread like this is so very important, it's difficult to leave it.

No. Different meaning in Arabic. Still not good.

Black wind is huayra yana. This is a fire.

"The Day" [of judgment] and then a great earthquake will shake the land so much that it will almost be swallowed up; "before the one who will arise (al-qa'im), there will be red death and white death; there will be locusts at their usual time and at their unusual time like the colours of blood. As for red death that is (from) the sword, while white death is (from) plague."

In order for this to happen though, OBL has to return to Saudi Arabia, if he is the Mahdi.

That is if they are trying to fill this prophecy.

Interesting post. Yes, the pneumonic form of plague...that's supposedly 100% fatal from what I'm reading.

And it spreads via fleas. Remember the "dog disease" threats some time ago.

In a lot of ways, it's almost as if we are an intelligence militia of sorts. And we feel the self-imposed stresses of responsibility that come with it, like depression. Just think what president Bush is feeling knowing what he knows that we don't. Prayers all around my friends.

Black death, the Bubonic Plague. I doubt it. Black Plague is very treatable with modern medicine.

I agree. I'm thinking that if they are going to try to spread something really nasty, it would be the Black Pox.

If your daughter finds you "annoying stupid" then she would find me extremely irritating.

My daughter bypassed the "annoyingly stupid" phase in her opinion of me a while back. She's pretty much constantly thinking of me as "extremely irritating"!
