February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Iran's Khatami talks to Putin on phone

Moscow, March 11 (IranMania) -- According to Iran's State News Agency (IRNA) Iran's President Mohammad Khatami and his Russian counterpart President Vladimir Putin exchanged viewpoints on the phone.

According to a report by the Press Bureau of the Kremlin Palace, the Russian Federation and Islamic Republic of Iran's presidents talked about the most significant occasions of the day, including the IAEA developments on Iran's nuclear projects, Iraq, the two countries' cooperation in Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant, and other issues of mutual interest.

Russia's ongoing internal political developments, and the future cooperation of Iran with the IAEA were the other topics discussed between the two presidents.

Plague can be treated with antibiotics but who can get those in the panic and terror of a full blown nuke detonation causing wide spread epidemics of various diseases? Or even w/out the nuke, it would be martial law. Medicine would be impossible to get.
