[history]
February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

This is a very complicated 5-dimentional chess game, if one could call it a game, except that this is deadly serious.Indeed it is. I also agree with you that some leaks are deliberate and part of the overall plan.
I just wouldn't be saying anything contrary if it might directly affect the "plan" or the safety of our brave men and women.
To: FairOpinion
He doesn't make the cut for the "Aryan Brotherhood" either. Hmmmm. Is this close to the Freeport BASF plant?
To: milkncookies
Actually, you misread what I wrote. My "information" is not "information." It is a source that negates the rumor, period.
I am not a source for information, nor do I claim or want to be. I am stating, rather affirmatively, that I am satisfied, based on my source, that this information is inaccurate. (I sure hope my source is correct. Time will tell, although I am not sure any information ever released re: bin Laden will satisfy some, but we will see. Remember, As far as I can tell, I am the ONLY one here willing to put my money on the OBL story. That $500.00 offer still stands, upon proof that we captured him on January 20, 2004.)
Like I said, believe what you want to be real. That's fine with me.
To: Velveeta
If you are confused on the question of "Has OBL been captured", then imagine how the terrorists are attempting to find out the truth.
I think that what Sean did, was what he was asked to do.
we don't need to know if he has been captured, he is only a
small part of the terrorist network, the attacks will not stop or start with his capture.

My first try at the URL didn't work, so i did a Google for:
Red Jihad
Now I will have to go and look at it, there are a lot of links there.

He looks like the drawing of the dead scuba diver in New York.
He looks a bit like Padilla.
He looks like the missing suspect in the OKC bombing.
Except he is thinner.

Anyone else think sending our troops to Haiti is a mistake?I would not say a mistake. I was/am concerned regarding the islamic fundamentalist groups located in Haiti.
Yesterday on Fox News this also came up in an interview with Bob Becoulava (sp?) who responded naming a couple of islamic groups which I could not begin to spell and the different kinds of grouops including the various voudou groups. But words that stuck out to me that Bob B. stated were werewolves, rainbow, and serpent, which made me think about treats from Daleel, EOM, and/or other islamic groups or sympathizers.

Regarding the Red Jihad and Carlos the Jackal, thanks for the link! For some reason I had thought that 'ole Carlos was long dead. Heading back there to do some additional reading.

Nothing personal so don't take offense. I do clearly recall several posts you made way back when that were, IMHO, condescending in tone. They were aimed at posts by others who claimed to have info from sources that you took issue with.
I do not think I misread your post. To state your source gave you information that satisfies you is fine and understandable, but it does not diminish the fact that it is information, and that you are now our "source" for that information. The other posters you criticized, because you were not satisfied with their "information", were stating information from their sources.
I tend to think that there is some hair-splitting going on. Bottom line is I don't criticize anyone personally for passing information on, even though I might disagree with it, or even find it to be ludicrous. I would expect you would feel the same way.

I agree. When I saw the composite sketch of the Hudson River diver, that was the first thing I picked up on. Same with the elusive plane thief. Interestingly enough, none of the discussion on the plane thread centers around the suspect's looks.
To: FairOpinion
Doesn't looks like a "white right wing extremist", does he?LEO did the same thing with the SCUBA guy found floating in the Hudson River. Although they described him as "white," the composite drawing from the autopsy shows someone who is clearly ethnic, perhaps Filipino or Indonesian.

The first device could destroy the others if they are too close. Calculating "too close" requires information they probably don't have.Shhhhhhhhh - if they don't know, lets not tell them.

People who have real-time, sensitive intelligence and information simply are not going to share it on the net.So true! Those who have contacts in the know, and from them some knowledge, will be very careful about what they share because they do not want it traced back to family member or friend they learned the info from.

how is someone going to trace back a tip posted here?
To: oceanview
It would be easy to trace, if it were something that only a very few people know.
Remember the so called CIA agent who got leaked, the one whose husband made the false reports on the Yellow Cake, that Iraq wanted to buy, Wilson is the only name in my memory bank, call it brain deaditus.
Deaditus, now that gave the spell check a fit, but, I refuse to say my brain is "Deadwood".
