believe the whole world will be shocked at the number of people who go to see this movie. It will make Star Wars look like amateur night. I doubt that. I expect a *very* big opening week, but a fast drop-off. It's not the kind of film that will have the same kind of repeat business that Star Wars and other "feel good" movies have, which is how those films build their large total grosses. Plus it seems like anyone/everyone who plans to see the film is planning on doing so in the first week, adding another dynamic that will cause later weeks to be a drop-off compared to the opening week.

I disagree. I was fortunate enough to attend a preview in January. I just purchased tickets from fandango. It's the sort of movie that is so much, so large, IMO it's impossible to absorb it in one viewing.

Disagree. The in-theater viewing may drop, but the DVD, video rentals will go on forever at a much larger pace, because churches will be using it over and over. You don't realize the enormity of the Christian market.

This is one reason I plan to see the movie next week, not now. First, I want to avoid the appearance of a big drop off--and also I hate crowds. I think a lot of other Christians (who are not teenagers) might just do the same--it seems to me that only teens like to go on opening night; they enjoy crowds I guess.

...a fast drop-off? Nope. The first tickets you can get in my area are for 2 weeks from Wednesday. That means we slowpokes have to wait until March 10th.

"I doubt that. I expect a *very* big opening week, but a fast drop-off."I, for one, plan to see it at least 4 times.
