Cool. I just hope they don't add water or they'll be up to their armpits in Martians!

Uh oh. That was close. One foot to the right and they would have my boot prints. I put that acorn and crab there.

Crabs?
We've seen those pea things before. But what's that star thing?
And how much is property close to the mountains?

It's a petrified chicken head, just above the round thing in the first photo!

Definitely looks like a seed -- suggestive of the pod-people in the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

Crabs? Well, that's what you get when you venture to the more scelistic planets of the Solar System.

Is there some easy way we can look at the stereo pictures to see one 3-D image?

If you do not have a stereoscope, here is one way to do it if you have a photo processing software such as Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro and a pair of strong reading glasses (3 to 4 diopter lenses): Save the two images separately on your hard drive, open them into the photo processor window side by side. While wearing the glasses, grab and move one of the photos until a prominent feature on it seems to overlay the same feature as seen on the other photo. Eureka, you have stereoscopic view that is comfort to your eyes.

Yes. You have to use Photoshop or another very high-end graphics editor. Start with the left image. Cut the whole picture and then edit the red channel and paste it in. Copy the right picture then go back to the first image, edit the blue channel and drop it in.

Dig through your kids' top drawer and swipe the stereo glasses they saved from the Spy Kids movie.

I'd do it for these, but I don't have any web space that could handle the server load here on FR.

Imagination is running away with me again. Click on this link and look at all those little holes, tunnels and voids.

There is a pepper-like debris at the entrance to many of them, almost like they had been excavated by something (searching for mineral munchies, perhaps?).

Wow, Mars sure is a strange place! Bet we see lots of other wonders as the weeks pass and the rovers rove. And I can't wait!

Examine the shperule in the full size stereo carefully. Notice the "peach crease". NOTICE FURTHER that from tip of the "peach" there are SIX spokes (longitudinal lines) with the tip of the sherule as the axis. The "peach crease" is one of the longitudinal lines. THE (CRYSTALINE) STRUCTURE IS HEXAGONAL!

I see it! Not sure if I can count all six, but there is definately something there. Seems to me this would discount a crater ejecta hypothesis for its formation. Looks like it was grown.
