Unknown at this time. To me it seems he was lured by Hamas into a rendezvous where he was kidnapped. Tannenbaum being a traitor may be the missing link as to why Israel engaged in this lopsided swap of prisoners. Was Tannenbaum a traitor or just a greedy (grasping) businessman out of league?
