Foreign officials impressed by Chinese Marine Corps
China Marine Corps received visit by Military Attaches of 56 foreign countries to China at a comprehensive training base on Feb. 19. The soldiers amazed the military official delegation with their excellent skills. They have presented military performance to guests from over 60 countries in 20 years.

Finally got a chance to see the pictures and read the Peoples Daily article on the Chinese Marine Corps. Pretty standard military demonstration/display stuff. Here's a link to a Chinese site (in English) that provides some order of battle information on the Chinese Marine Corps:
http://www.china-defense.com/orbat/pla_orbat/pla_orbat-31.html Basically, its a reinforced mechanized brigade trained to perform amphibious warfare tasks.
