I saw a video of this some time back in 1999 or so. Raymond Chiao at the time said the tunneling at superluminal speeds could be real but said it couldn't be used to transmit information. If, however, someone had arranged to use Mozart's 40th as a signal to mean one particular thing rather than another ("If you hear Mozart do the agree-upon thing; if you hear Bach, don't do it") and then transmitted it at superluminal speeds, one would have accomplished the superluminal transmission of information.
