My list would have Britain first, Israel second, and France dead last. Yes, that's right. I even like North Korea better, because I at least no for sure whose side they're on.

It is only natura that that the US would have more affinity with the other children of Albion.
The US was created by the British colonists. It is our history and heritage.

Americans are very slow to change. Australia, Great Britain, and Canada are all English-speaking and therefore seem closer to most Americans. I suspect Australia is at the top because at least some Americans are happy with them for their recent support, and Canada is third because some Americans are unhappy with recent developments.
Ninth place isn't bad, considering the constant bad press Israel gets in this country and the very negative opinions of radical leftists.
I'd be curious to see the whole list. Most Americans probably looked favorably on France up until Chirac let the cat out of the bag about how France feels about us. Lafayette, we are here and all that. I wonder where France stands now? A good deal lower than two or three years ago, I'm sure.

Yup, Israel belongs among the top 3 or 4. Canada does belong there too, despite their government and foreign policy. For all practical purposes, many are no different than Americans, particularly the farther away you get from Quebec.

1st:Australia
2nd:Britain
3rd:Canada
9th:Israel.
Hmmm... I think I see a pattern!
4th: Denmark
5th: Egypt
6th: Fra... no, Finland. Pretty sure France isn't in top 186. (There are 187 countries last I knew.)
7th: Greece
8th: Holland
Funny weighting: Britain is 2nd, Scotland is 18th, Wales is 22nd, but UK overall is only 20th.
