Just this morning, Katie Couric and Joe Lockhart were saying the President has no credibility because of his National Guard thing...even though totally unproven and now thoroughly debunked! yet, there was no discussion of Kerry's antics during Vietnam or his continued womanizing.
At least on ABC, George Stephanapolos got it right when he said the National Guard story is a non-story. That Bush dumped all documents and it all shows exactly what he said. George also pointed out this wouldn't be good enough for some Dems but Kerry was right to back off.
For the Dems, it's not at all about electability, it is all about power..and getting it by any means. Thus, this story only confirms how important POWER is in their eyes.
The only thing which will deflate the Dems as a party is the continued loss of power and control. We should all be praying for that.
The fact they are sitting on information pertinent to this story shows their complete lack of integrity and truth. Yet, when conservatives call the press on this matter, we are painted with a broad brush of "who the hell are you?" Unfortunately, the general public still gets their distilled news from newspapers and network TV. A quiet, often purposely stilted revolution is taking place. That revolution, namely information and news from multiple sources untied from the mainstream power brokers, is what threatens the liberals, leftists, and socialists so much. Thus, that is why it is SO VITALLY IMPORTANT that all news from other than "accepted" sources be shot down and/or eliminated. That is why Lord Hutton's report was being accepted as the "end of free speech" by the power brokers in Britain and Europe. THAT is why the internet, blogs, and talk radio present such a threat...the free flow of information.
Nope. But you still owe me some compliments, from my last payment to your PayPal account!
Well, I suppose she is compared to the horse-faced gigolo Kerry.
I think that I would rather him get through this unscathed than to see *those* pictures. LOL
Well, so much for keeping breakfast down this morning!
Yeah, there is. He finally found a job in the private sector that someone was willing to pay him to do.
And here is where the 'spin' begins. . .the first lie/excuse to keep her out of the lamestream media; and it is working.
We surely will not see her on Larry King and does not look like O'Reilly has the whatever to go there either.
Keep thinking, maybe the 'good guys' are just waiting until a better time; like post Dem crowning of Kerry.
But Repubs are not good at this; so am inclined to think they are cowering about simply telling the truth about Kerry. . .
"if the shoe fit's' seems to hold no validity for too many frightened Repubs.
... The "Capital Gang" panelist, it may have been popular liberal Al Hunt, but I cannot recall, said that Ann Coulter flatly lied about Cleland. Does anyone know the truth here? Do the people of GA know about this case perhaps? Here is the link to Ann's article posted here on FR ...
Cleland Drops A Political Grenade
I don't think she lied. She could have worded her criticism a little more delicately given the situation he is a triple amputee, however.Mark Steyn also commented on her comments regarding Cleland in his last article:
Kerry should be wary of dredging up past
Excerpt:
Likewise, Max Cleland, the former Georgia senator turned cable show hit man for the Kerry campaign on the Bush National Guard ''scandal.'' He's untouchable because, as Terry McAuliffe likes to say, he's a ''triple amputee who left three limbs on the battlefield of Vietnam.''
As Ann Coulter pointed out in a merciless but entirely accurate column, it wasn't on the ''battlefield.'' It wasn't in combat. He was working on a radio relay station. He saw a grenade dropped by one of his colleagues and bent down to pick it up. It's impossible for most of us to imagine what that must be like -- to be flown home, with your body shattered, not because of some firefight, but because you made a stupid mistake. Once upon a time, Cleland loathed the Silver and Bronze Stars he'd been given: He was, in his words, ''no hero'' -- which is true. He was a beneficiary of the medal inflation that tends to accompany unpopular wars. But Cleland learned to stop hating himself to the point where he's happy to be passed off as a hero wounded in battle because that makes him a more valuable mascot to the campaign. Sad.
If I recall, the Pub's in Jersey fought it at first, but the NJ Supremes voted the Dem's way, and I think the USSC refused to hear the matter. At that point, they had no choice, though I think the Pub's lacked initiative to fight harder.
Not Quite: Kerry campaign staffers claimed she wrote a letter denying the whole thing....That's not quite the same thing....
