I have to say that tonight I'm feeling mighty low over the way the media rat whores have raked our beloved president through the coals!!

I know what you mean. But, next up to the heat is KERRY!

...feeling a little discouraged here....they are trying to destroy our President.

Of course they are. But, we're NOT going to let them!

And no, I have never done anything like this before -- only for President George W Bush would I get out of bed at 5 AM, take a 90-minute bus drive to Lexington and then spend the next 10 hours walking neighborhoods disseminating campaign literature!]

That's wonderful!!! You are an inspiration to us all :-)

I'll be doing what I can, also, in the meantime I'm setting up several blogs and several websites at free areas. If you google Dubya and almost every word relating to media accusations, what comes up is a slew of nasty negative sites and misinformation. If we sprinkle the Internet as much as possible with pro-Bush sites crammed with links to positive info, it could make a difference to the mushy uninformed middle.

While you're wrapping your mind around the breaking news that the extremely modest Kerry served in Viet Nam, let me wish you a very happy birthday! Hope you're doing well.

The President hasn't begun campaigning yet. It will be an uphill battle against the Dims and their twisting, evil lies, but the President has been up against this before. He knows about the media.

It's Kerry that's outmatched you know. He can win in Massachusetts, sure. Heck, they elect Ted Kennedy time after time. But he has to convince the rest of the nation to vote for him. He's in trouble right there.

The rabid slobbering "Anybody but Bush" (what kind of people are they!) will vote Kerry, but then he's already counting on that sorry bunch. He has to convince the moderate Dims. And the independents. And frankly, he just isn't enough to do it.

Chin up now. They want to make us discouraged. The President is counting on us not letting them succeed.

One of the most thrilling moments of my life was to hear and see the parade deck at Parris Island lined with new Marines (my son included) shouting the Marine Corps Hymn at the top of their lungs.

Thank you for posting it.

Sorry, to disappear, minor little crisis came up, handled it. Dear remember this old saying, *Whatever goes around, comes around*. You continually underestimate GWB, and you must stop reading slanted polls, polls mean absolutely *squat*. Stay in for the long Haul.

***Can you feel the hypocrisy?***

Kinda like the DNC guy saying the Republicans are doing "attack" ads--the one on the internet about where Kerry is getting his money, that PRESENTS THE FACTS, yet denying the Dem. party's continual and proven-to-be-wrong AWOL charges, are "attacking" him.

Thank you, McLynnan. I am doing MUCH better with some peace of mind that all test results came back A-OK. Of course, now I'm racking my brain with the fact CNN is covering the Kerry affair RIGHT NOW!

why can't others see the greatness of this man?

I believe they do see it. And it scares the liver out of them, and they turn that into hate.

Does anyone remember the old character actor from horror films John Carradine? Well Kerry's voice is so similar that when I am on the web in another room I could swear that it is John Carradine instead of Ketchup boy . That voice used to give me the chills from the horror flicks, and now it gives me the willies from the John Kerry horror shows. Aghhhhhh....

The following provides even MORE POSITIVE information from the ABCNews/WashPost poll:

"Online, the headline over a piece by ABC’s polling chief, Gary Langer, reflected Jennings’ theme, “A New Low: Bush Job Approval Dogged By WMD Questions, Economy and John Kerry.” But Langer also related some strengths Bush still retains and how more are interested in Kerry’s fundraising than in Bush’s National Guard record: “While this poll underscores Bush's vulnerabilities, he does retain his core strengths -- broad approval for handling the war on terrorism and an image as a strong leader. And while most Americans believe his administration intentionally exaggerated evidence of Iraq's weapons of mass destructions, far fewer (21 percent) think it outright lied. Indeed, two-thirds think the administration honestly believed Iraq did possess these weapons.

Most also continue to say the war has contributed to the long-term security of the United States. “On another front, questions about Bush's National Guard duty during the Vietnam War lack traction: Americans by more than 2-to-1 -- 66 percent to 30 percent -- say it's not a legitimate issue in the election campaign. More, by contrast, say it is legitimate to look into questions about Kerry's fund raising as a U.S. senator (a 42 percent to 46 percent split).

And as noted, Bush's support is firmer than the less well-known Kerry's: 83 percent of Bush's backers support him strongly, compared with 59 percent of Kerry's.”

COMPARATIVE STATS:

54% approval rating among LIKELY VOTERS
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Bush_Job_Approval.htm

Bush defeating Kerry 47% to 45%
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking_Poll.htm

[FYI: According to the tracking polls, consumer and investor confidence has taken a hit over the last two days, so the President's approval ratings will probably dip for a brief period -- until we get some positive economic data. AGAIN, this is all transitory, snap-shot stuff. Polling data will mean NOTHING until fall!]

I am shamefaced here. I didn't know you were having health problems. I almost never get to read all the posts here anymore and am not up on all the news. I am so glad things are okay with you! I just noticed the thread about CNN. They are saying CNN is portraying it as a smear campaign???
