I was called a baby killer in the Atlanta airport in 1972. f'n John was probably the reason for it. I had never heard that term in earlier years. Only in the early 70s.

When I proudly cast my vote against John Kerry, I will do it with you and the military in mind.
On behalf of my family I thank you, and every member of the military, who allow us to wake up every morning and live in freedom, for your sacrifices and your service.

I was spit on in SF as I was preparing to leave for my 2nd tour in Nov69.
I blame one man - LBJ!
Kerry is a lot of things but he was not responsible for what happened.
He was not a corrupt CinC with a corrupt Defense Department.

As one who was too young in 1972 to say this then ... thanks for your service.
It is sad how the radical activists' smears got accepted by so many people back then, and Kerry shares some blame for that.

I was wondering earlier in this thread about Kerry's testimony being responsible for the crappy treatment of Vietnam vets. Thanks for your replies; it appears that a causal link can be demonstrated. If the Dems insist upon staying the low and dirty course they have embarked upon, I do hope that this issue will be raised during this campaign for all to see. Hell, it's only fair...
