I see your point. I just think it's early.

We're on a hill looking down on a family squabble. Different factions of that family all are our enemy. We know we're going to fight the victorious faction. We should just wait until we know which faction that is. If it means going after Kerry's puffery, we'll have lots of ammo if we keep our powder dry.

I was wondering earlier in this thread about Kerry's testimony being responsible for the crappy treatment of Vietnam vets. Thanks for your replies; it appears that a causal link can be demonstrated. If the Dems insist upon staying the low and dirty course they have embarked upon, I do hope that this issue will be raised during this campaign for all to see. Hell, it's only fair...

Alex Polier -- she's the lover -- was a writer for the Associated Press. Search her name to see some of her published articles from the AP. Anyone got a photo of her? Try this for starters:

Keep her name on the scratch list. Right now, she's a ghost. And Google keeps coming up with tank cars when I search a picture. Don't stop looking.

She is staying with a guy called Joseph Schwarzman (not sure of spelling). He is a partner of Naushad Merali and works for Nicholas Biwott -- two of the most dangerous men in Kenya who plundered the country's treasury on behlaf of their boss former President Daniel arap Moi. Biwott has also been accused of the murder of foreign minister Robert Ouko.
Probably most unlikely but wonder if Kerry had a business relationship with any of these crooks?-------

US Senator John Kerry from Massachusetts warned that support for protectionism will grow if the US population is not educated about the benefits of globalization and if emerging markets perceive the United States as not being sensitive enough to their needs. Kerry said the US must adopt a pro-growth approach in its foreign policy but become far more sensitive to the needs of the developing world.

The United States needs to lead and manage globalization," Kerry said. "Globalization is a phenomenon, not an economic movement," he added. "It needs to be tamed". This means being sensitive to and engaged in helping those countries which have adopted International Monetary Fund reforms and the American model of free market economic policies.

Kerry stressed that although the US population is largely internationalist rather than isolationist, this could change if the US economy comes under pressure. Congressman Leach agreed, saying that the greatest danger comes from US politicians who support protectionism for political gain once difficulties emerge in the global economy. Congressman Leach also issued a plea to build a strong, international banking system.

Don't know if it means anything or not, but I found this when I googled Biwott and Clinton. Wonder who sponsored this bill.

Africa Trade Bill Will Create Thousands of Jobs - Biwott
By KEVIN J. KELLEY
SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

THE US House of Representatives' approval last week of a new trade plan for Africa stands as "an historic landmark" for Kenya, according to Tourism, Trade and Industry Minister Nicholas Biwott.

When cleared by the US Senate and signed into law by President Bill Clinton – actions expected to occur within the next two weeks – the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act should enable Kenya to create thousands of jobs and add millions of dollars to its national economy, said Mr Biwott during a visit to Washington last week.

He expressed confidence that Kenya will meet conditions laid down in the bill for the removal of punitive quotas on Kenyan apparel and textile exports to the US.

American trade authorities had imposed sharp limitations on Kenya's yearly shipments to the US of certain shirts and pillowcases because it had violated US rules against trans-shipment of fabrics manufactured in Asia. The US sanctions resulted in the loss of 11,000 jobs in Kenya's textile industry, Mr Biwott said.

Kenya and Mauritius are the only two sub-Saharan nations required to make specific improvements in their Customs procedures in order to qualify for the new terms of trade.

The legislation passed by the US House on May 4 on a 309-110 vote stipulates that Kenya and Mauritius will not be eligible for new quota-free and duty-free benefits unless they adopt "an effective visa system to guard against unlawful trans-shipment of textile and apparel goods and use of counterfeit documents."

Lastest Quotage:
"I just deny it categorically. It's rumor. It's untrue. Period," Kerry told reporters in Wisconsin. "It's not true."

I'm with you on this...

Kerry won the nomination on his Vietnam vet "war hero" biography point, and drills it home. It and the "AWOL" smear against Bush have a specific pupose for the Democrats, to denigrate Bush as a commander-in-chief and insinuate that Kerry served "better" in that era so he'd make a better President. The Democrats are the ones with the Vietnam fixation, and they need this as a Big Lie that will work to win votes from the uninformed.

I believe we need to bring up Kerry's anti-war pro-Hanoi activism to explain the TRUTH about where Kerry is really coming from. His 35 years in politics shows consistency with his smears against the military and his pro-Hanoi attitudes. He will sell American sovereignty down the river. The anti-war activism charge does a few things - exposes Kerry's hypocrisy, shows people how-left-wing he really is, and may actually finally get the Democrats to say "let's move on" when they realize they cant get any more traction out of the 'war hero' angle.
